This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of October, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Dr. [1447], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 10:40 to 10:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio. (Ques. as to previous information)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind; with the information that has been given through these channels.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Which place, Ft. Myers or Clearwater, would be best? (A) Clearwater or the environs, as we find. And, as has been indicated by many, rather an institutional work would be preferable to a general practise for such a place.
And these as we find will make for most satisfactory conditions for the body.
-
(Q) It would be best, then, to establish a complete diagnostic and treatment clinic? (A) As just indicated, institutional rather than general.
-
(Q) Would it be advisable to take Dr. Pos in on this proposition? (A) If the policies and the activities of each are in accord, very well. For the abilities of each are such that these MAY be coordinant, but will require the application of the WILL on the part of each.
-
(Q) Any further advice at this time? (A) Keep those ideals that have first been intimated; not as selfish, not as aggrandizement for fame; but - let the policy be:
As ye would that others would do to you, do ye even so to them.
- We are through with this Reading.

R1. 1/31/38 [1447]‘s letter to EC:
CLEARWATER CLINIC … Ave. Clearwater, Florida
Dear Edgar:
As you will notice from the Stationary I took your advice - and am now in Florida and enjoying it very much. Have been here two months now - and the only thing I can find wrong is the lack of business - I appreciate the fact this is an off year due to Stock Market repression or what ever you may call it, but have made several contacts with prominent business men. Mailed out letters to the tourists and some to permanent residents. And the response has been very light - have had six or seven patients - but would like to have more
- Office is located on one of the main streets and I think at least fairly attractive. Every one who has been in thinks it is very nice, even unusually so. But still not enough business.
Is there any thing you could suggest to increase the business? I have so much confidence in you and every thing has been been as you have said, so am wondering if you could give the solution as to how to get the patients into the office.
Some doctors who have been in the State for some time suggest other locations but as you have said this is the better and I like it very much. However if you suggest a change of location I will gladly do it.
Yours, [1447]
