EC: Now, we find there are abnormal conditions in this body, yet the condition is better in many respects than that when we had this here before. Not only in the mental attitude towards the condition and self, but in the physical condition proper.
-
Those conditions that we find producing the trouble still have to do with the nerve forces in the cervical region, and the branch of the nerves supplying nutriment to the auditory forces. This we see shows some improvement in conditions, as far as the tentacles of the nerves as they exercise in the body with the circulation as carried, and the nutriment and the removal of used forces; those especially to one of the ears is better than the other. That only needs keep the correct vibration to produce in the nerve as liberated and given the opportunity to exercise their proper functioning.
-
This, we see, needs still the adjustments in first cervical, third and fourth cervical, and the second and third dorsal.
-
The vibrations necessary will be those now as found in this:
To two gallons of rain water, add:
Plain Charcoal…1 lb., Heavy Sea Salt…1 lb., Copper Sulphate…1 1/2 lbs., Sulphuric Acid C.P…1 1/4 ozs., Common Zinc…6 drams.
-
This solution should be kept in glass container.
-
This, we find, would charge itself, but should be charged with low ampherage, until the charge given off from solution will reach five and one-half ohms.
-
While this is being charged, there shall be in the solution a one pound opaque container of iodine. (Opaque container containing one pound of iodine.) This shall be left in solution at all times. The heavy copper poles shall be put in solution; preferably held in place by wooden cover. To the ends of these poles, after being charged, there should be attached small copper wire, preferably those that are insulated.
-
To the end of the positive pole wire should be attached a large thin copper plate. To the negative wire end should be attached a small silver plate. These would he attached to the body each evening for one hour. The larger plate just above and to the right of the umbilicus. The other to the first and second cervical, or that nerve end leading to the auditory forces there.
-
Do that. Be persistent in the application and the adjustment, and we will bring the relief to this body.
-
(Q) Would the hair affect the application of the plate at the first and second cervical? (A) No. This will be held out of place, you see. Keep the plate attached so we do not have any vibration changed or diverted by tape or by holder that would keep same in place on both parts of the body. Not try to hold in place by hand, but bysome form of bringing in contact without diverting the current or vibration as given from this battery formation.
-
Do that.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/19/24 Dr. Farrand’s letter: “I have the solution for Mrs. [147] all ready and have all the parts but have not yet been able to find anyone who can charge it so low, or rather I have been unable to get an ohmmeter to see that it is charged low enough. The O.S.U. has one but it is not working just now and I have not found another yet. Could you suggest any place where we could get one. I can make a Whetstone bridge which will answer the purpose if we could get a meter to test it.”
R2. 2/23/24 EC’s reply: “I am in hopes that you have been able to get the solution charged for Mrs. [147]. I do not understand why the battery people haven’t an ohm meter. In every other place where we have suggested these each station had one that they tested the machines with. As soon as this is all ready, as I suggested to Mrs. [147], and the first treatment from it is given her I wanted to go over it and see whether the correct charge was being given or accorded the system from its use. I’m in hopes that you will let me know about this as soon as it is possible to do so, for I feel that Mrs. [147] is very much in earnest, and I would certainly like to see her get results.”
R3. 2/29/24 Dr. Farrand’s reply: “We seem to be having quite a time getting the battery made up as directed but are still hopeful. I had a talk with the electrician for the … Railway and Light Company, yesterday and he informed me that an ohm is a unit of electrical resistance and that it would be necessary to have the amount of current stated that was to be used to charge the battery, that is the voltage and amperage. He also said it would be much easier if you would give the number of volts the battery should have after it is charged. If this was given we could use their voltmeter to test it.”
R4. 3/3/24 EC’s reply: “From my understanding, and I have seen several of them charged, they only connect the poles that are in the solution to one of the battery charges the same as recharging batteries for an automobile and when the solution has the charge sufficiently to give off five and one-half ohms the solution is correctly charged. That, as I understand it, is the correct manner to charge this solution and is of low voltage or high voltage, I should say, and low ampherage, and the meter such as all battery stations have, to test batteries will give the correct charge for this one. See if you cannot have this done in this manner.”
R5. 3/20/24 EC gave her Check Physical 147-13.
