EC: Now - as regards the case Mrs. [147] …, Ohio. The conditions are as we have had them before. There is some change in the mental attitude, that however has been some better and again not so good. As to the making of the battery for use on this body, it has not been correct, scarce any part of it. Use this: Use glass basin, two gallons. Put in this 1 1/2 gal. rain water, then 1/2 pound of bluestone, 6 drams of zinc and one Oz. sulphuric acid, C.P., and one pound of willow charcoal. This would charge itself, but is to be charged from batteries, low amperage 4-amperes 110 V. 60 Cycles for 15 minutes.

While this is being charged and is to remain in the solution, place in this solution, a glass bottle containing 6 oz. of iodine. This is to be tightly corked glass stopper and submerged. The poles are to be one of steel and silver, receiving pole steel opposite of silver. Neither of these poles are to be put in the iodine, but by charging the iodine takes charge and will give off that needed for the patient’s ([147] we are speaking of) benefit. Do that and in the way given, it will do as we have given if given as we have said, twenty minutes each evening - first at 2nd cervical next evening 3rd cervical, next evening 4 and 5th then begin over again. Do not take for more than 20 minutes. This shock will not be felt in the body, but the effects will begin to show themselves by the 4th day. Do that as we have given.
