This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home in Selma, Ala., this 15th day of September, 1922, in accordance with request made by self, Mrs. [147].

1. EC: The conditions within the body are improved.

2. The instructions have not been followed fully.

3. The conditions as we find them along the lower cervicals have produced better connection between the cerebro-spinal and sympathetic auditory nerves; their reaction and vibration through the auditory nerves and the head are better than we had them before.

4. Not all the vibration has been proper that has been received through the body.

5. Seeing that which is to give the vibration to the body to enliven or to give new ganglia incentives to the ganglion to the ear so that we remove from the air forces the used forces in hearing, and it is carried by the sympathetic through the circulation and used to carry off from the body, has not been properly adjusted here so that there is the proper vibration throughout.

6. The PLATES are not correctly made - one should be IRON and one SILVER. (There now are one nickle and one copper.)

7. When wires are attached to apply to the body, they should both be attached to this same plate, not the same plate when in use.

8. When the charge is given the body, both wires are then attached to one plate and that plate to the body. Place this as before. Now when this charge of one plate could be strapped to the body, just fasten over the places needed.

9. Follow instructions and it will bring the vibrations back to this body.

10. The body will become nauseous after the third or fourth day - this is only the reaction or revibration of the circulation carrying its proper distribution forces.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

I am addressing you at San Saba, trusting I can reach you.

We are getting no results from this treatment. Is it not charged properly, is it the way it is applied or what is it? My hearing is getting so bad - I can notice it not each week, but each day. I can not hear my typewriter any more. When I think it is through the carelessness or ignorance of some one here I nearly lose my mind.

Won’t you PLEASE give me a reading just as soon as you receive this. If you can get it here any quicker by telegram send it that way and I will pay for it. I will do anything to save what little hearing I have.

I have been so encouraged about regaining my hearing till this last trial and now I feel I just can’t stand it if I have to become totally deaf.
