This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of July, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [147].
[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce.]
Time of Reading 12:00 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio. (Ck. Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [147]. This we have had before. Now, we find many changes with the physical forces of the body since last we had same here. There are accentuations, or have been accentuations of conditions as respecting the eliminations and the effect as has been brought about by same in the form of hemorrhoids, also the natural depression as such brings to the body.
-
But, for the correction, for the alleviation of these conditions, we would have those vibrations of the Radium Appliance re-charged - see? for the acid as has come from system prevents same from giving off the proper emanation or radiation, and would be more effective were this re-charged.
-
The Radio-Active Appliance needs some of the connections put in proper order. These should also be worked over and used for the alleviation and assistance to the system.
-
For that condition as has existed in the colon and through the portions of system where eliminations are active, and where the pile or hemorrhoid has caused and does cause trouble, we would use those of the Petrolagar - the alkalin character, and in each tablespoonful of this taken we would add three drops of Pepsin - lactated pepsin, and take at least two tablespoonsful each day, preferably on arising of morning and before retiring.
-
We would also use that of the ointment known as Tim’s, or Tim, and we will find we will bring relief and bettered conditions for the body - using the appliances in the manner as has been outlined. Ready for questions. We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/25/29 EC wrote: “We are sending you under separate cover a small quantity of the Tim ointment as suggested in your rdg. for the hemorrhoids. I feel sure you will find great relief in the use of all suggested, and I hope you will have no trouble in getting all these things together.”
R2. 8/1/29 She wrote thanking him for the rdg.: “I sent the Radium Pad immediately for recharging. Will get the rest together as soon as possible. Mother has been unusual]y feeble the past week and also we have company. Thanks for the Tim ointment. It has been so very hot and the lid came loose and quite a little ran out, but there is sufficient for the time being. Will write you later more fully, but wanted you to know I rec’d the rdg. and all was well.”
R3. 8/12/29 She wrote: “At last I am getting off my Radio-Active Appliance in this mail [to Gray Salter at the Cayce Hospital] for recharging. Had information from the Radium Appliance Co. in Los Angeles that my Radium Pad could not be recharged a second time - advised that I turn it in on a new, stronger pad - $50 - which I did. This, of course, has all taken time and money but hope to get going soon and wanted it to be correct when I do get started again. Mother is some better, or appears to be, so I think I shall soon be able to give some attention to myself.”
R4. 9/25/29 She wrote Cayce Hospital: “The Radio-Active Appliance just rec’d, and I must say, of all the careless work sent out, this excels. How am I supposed to attach plates to body? How put 2 ozs. of iron in a vial this size? How insert wire through new cork when this is eaten up, as it will be in a very short time, as fumes from Tincture of Iron destroy cork in practically no time? The wires when attached to plates, are not even rubber taped. One is liable to give a quick, hard jerk to wire, especially if one drops to sleep with it attached - then another loose wire. Am returning it by this mail with suggestion ‘You keep it.’ Would have written to man who made it [Gray Salter] direct, but lost his name.” Respectfully, [147]
R5. GD’s note: There is no record of further communication.
