This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 29th day of November, 1922, in accordance with request made by self, Mrs. [147].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this body before, you see. Now the conditions in this body, you see, are in many ways improved. We are awakening the sensations or we are giving to the nerve ends the incentives to carry out the deeper force and meaning to the body. We only need to have the correct vibration to assist in correlling [corralling? correlating?] the sounds, as it were, at the present time.

2. To make these poles, use the copper and silver for the poles and when charged charge with the very low voltage, not use over a six volt charged for an hour, then apply to the body, as we have given before. After this is given, the vibrations, it would be well for the adjustments [chiropractically] along this portion here were carried out also, so as to make the perfect unison through the action of both elements, that they produce, be in the body at the same time. Do that.

3. (Q) Mr. Cayce, what kind of adjustments along this spine? (A) Those that will give free action to each segment involved through the cervical region.

4. (Q) Mr. Cayce, is the hearing better now then when you had it before? (A) We have just given that it was. There is more action between the auditory forces than when we had it before.

5. (Q) Mr. Cayce, who should give these adjustments? (A) Anyone, who knows how.

6. (Q) Would you recommend an osteopathic doctor for this? (A) They don’t give adjustments.

7. (Q) The chiropractor [Jacob H. Farrand, D.C.] that she has now, is he alright? (A) She hasn’t any chiropractor now.

8. (Q) Would the chiropractic adjustments be alright, Mr. Cayce? (A) We just said that the chiropractic treatments would be alright. We meant it.

9. (Q) Mr. Cayce, answer just one more question for me. How long will it be before this body will regain her hearing, if your treatment is followed out? (A) As soon as the corrections are made and the ends of the nerves vibrate correctly. Just as soon as that is accomplished in the body. Secretions that are thrown off, with the increasing of the vibrations, must be cleansed, of course, to give the action of the exterior forces the chance to produce the correct vibrations, you see.

10. (Q) Mr. Cayce, has this solution that has been made for this treatment been correctly made? (A) The solution is made alright. Not charged correctly, too high voltage. Too strong - five ampere voltage is what is needed.

11. (Q) Mr. Cayce, who would you recommend to make these batteries for this body, so that they will be correctly made? (A) Anyone, who knows how.

12. (Q) Does Mr. Harris at Selma, Alabama know how to make them? [Thomas E. Harris] (A) We have no Mr. Harris here.

13. (Q) Mr. Cayce, the battery that has been made has eaten off the poles. Why was this? (A) Too strong a solution from an over-charge.

R1. 12/15/22 Mrs. [147] wrote: “Dr. Farrand had a letter from Mr. Thomas E. Harris of Selma, Alabama saying he did not think it practical to ship the batteries. He gave him detailed instructions and Dr. Farrand thinks there will be no trouble in following them. We hope so, don’t we?

“I am writing you this as I know how interested you are - otherwise you would not have taken all the time and trouble you would not have taken all the time and trouble you have with me.

“We started the chiropractic treatment in connection with the other on December 7th.”

R2. 12/15/22 She wrote 2nd letter: “Just received your letter. Not more than 15 minutes ago I posted one to you.

“I can’t tell you how much I appreciate what you are doing for me. I wanted to ask you if you would find if it was correct but I had asked you to do so much for me I hesitated to ask more. It is impossible to express my feelings so I will only say I DO THANK YOU.

“I KNOW if your instructions can be filled I will get results. How I do trust when the reading comes you can say it is correct this time.

“With the very best of wishes, I am,”
