This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 18th day of December, 1922, in accordance with request made by self, Mrs. [147].

1. EC: We have now the condition here of Mrs. [147] of … Bldg., …, Ohio.

2. The vibration as given to this body, for the condition of the ear (especially the right one), we find has not given the correct vibration, for the positive pole has been used where the negative should be, so the vibration becomes reflex rather than of assistance. The larger plate should be used on the positive pole, or positive wire from pole, on the left side of container and attached to the body just above and to the right of the umbilicus, while the smaller and negative plate from the negative side of vibration from the battery force should be attached to the first cervical and held in place while vibration is given by tape or band rather than by the hand. See. And take for 40 to 60 minutes as was given. Have the poles in solution larger and remove from solution when vibration is not being given to the body. Charge with the low voltage until this gives off at least five and one-half ohms. Do that.

We have followed your instructions very carefully until within the last two weeks. Feeling we were getting no results, we decided to wait until you came here. As we have heard nothing definite as to the time of your coming, I decided to write you for advice.

Mr. Cayce would it be too much to ask for another reading to determine where the trouble lies and that we may get started again as soon as possible.

If my hearing does not improve soon I will have to get another instrument; this is why I write to you instead of waiting for your return here.

We all have such confidence in your ability we feel some one has failed to follow out your instructions.

1. When re-charged should the prescription be renewed?
2. What should be done when it evaporates?
3. Should it be applied SEVEN days a week? The Doctor [Jacob H. Farrand, D.C.], does not like to come on Sunday.
4. What causes the pain in my ear?

I think the Doctor told you about the poles. I do not know any thing about them, except the one lasts a very short time; nor do I know anything about the charging of the Batteries but it seems the electrician does not understand how to do it.

In case you have not the reading I am sending a copy of the voltage you gave: 4 amperes, 110 v - 30 cycles for 30 minutes.

Then (I think) later when the electrician said he couldn’t get that voltage it was changed to twice the voltage and one half the time.

I have been using it nearly eight weeks.

Is there anything serious causing the soreness in my breast?

Can anything be done to cool my blood?
