This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of February, 1943, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [849], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1521]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, in the present there is the incoordination between the superficial and the alimentary canal eliminations. This indicates, of course, a torpidity in the flow of the bile; while the inflammation is affecting the glandular forces in the superficial circulation, and this is a latent rash.

4. In the present we would give - even since there has been the activity from properties taken - one Zilatone tablet each day for two days in succession; that is, one one day, one the next day, see?

5. Then we would give warm lemonades; not hot, and not so warm as to be disturbing to drink, but sufficient warmth to be palatable to the body. Keep this up for two or three days.

6. Keep the body quiet.

7. Of evenings bathe the feet in very hot water, - the feet and limbs.

8. And massage the back with Cocoa Butter; especially across the area from the end of the spine to the lower portion of the diaphragm.

9. Then be mindful as to the diet. Not too much sweets, not too much of starches, but plenty of the citrus fruits and the whole grain cereals, egg yolks, bacon and the like; and we should bring better conditions for the body.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) Should Atomidine be continued? (A) Occasionally. Not right along, but - as given - have series, and small doses of same.

12. (Q) Should the upper front tooth that juts out be pulled now, to make room for the new one? (A) It should.

13. (Q) Can anything be given her at this age that will be helpful or prevent anything harmful that might be in store for her? (A) Keep in the normal activities, and those in the normal development. For, these are very good for the body in the present, as we find. Precautions are being taken, and have been taken. We would add no more than that which has already been indicated.

R1. 3/3/43 Father [849]‘s letter: “First let me thank you for [1521]‘s reading. It hit the nail on the head as usual, and she is now all right, though we are still keeping her quiet and continuing the treatment. On Sat. night her temperature shot up to 104 degrees and [1102] thought we had better call a doctor in case something serious had developed. It hadn’t, and the doctor just advised a gargle, for there were no symptoms visible except a light sore throat, but what would interest you is that we called Dr. Ned Brush who used to teach at Mr. Greene’s School for Boys [at Va. Beach]. I had quite a talk with him and he remembers Edgar Evans as his best pupil, and also remembers meeting you. He said he intends to buy the book and wants to talk to me about it. He is a nice lad - I knew he knew about you, otherwise I would not have called him. As it was we could give the treatment ourselves but he would have cooperated with a reading I feel sure. Do you recall him?…

B1. 2/26/43 Father [849]‘s letter: “This is to ask if you will get a check on [1521] for me at the earliest opportunity. This is her third day in bed with a fever that varies between 101 and 102, but we can find no other symptoms, either of a cold or an internal upset. I suspect that it is her liver again, and this morning [1102] put the vibrator on her back in lieu of a massage, which was recommended the last time she was so disturbed, last summer in Florida. We would give her the Castoria treatment except that she has grown allergic to it and vomits it up as fast as she takes it in. If Castoria is suggested would you have Muddie Cayce ask if a substitute may be used?

“If she is no better tomorrow I will have [1102] give her broken doses of Syrup of Figs. Today, as yesterday, we are giving her broken doses of senna tea. The results are fine but the fever remains.

“If there is some specific treatment suggested which can be transmitted by wire we’d appreciate it if you would send it to us that way, collect. Otherwise a special delivery will be appreciated.

“We also would like to ask if at this time and age we can give her anything that will be helpful or will prevent anything that might be in store for her. Should we continue to give her Atomidine?

“She has already lost two teeth and a third one is pushing through behind the upper front tooth that juts out. Should this upper front tooth that juts out be pulled now, to make room for the new one?”
