This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of February, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1523], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:45 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia.

1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, there are the after effects of the acute conditions in the body, - arising from the lack of proper eliminations of the poisons which were caused from the poisoning as was indicated from an acid.

4. These, as combined then with the after effects of “flu” with so much of a vegetable laxative, have caused a contraction of the mucus membranes in portions of the colon, as well as jejunum.

5. With the combination of the disturbances that have been indicated from the poisons affecting the kidneys, we find that the tubes from the bladder through the urethra cause a great deal of disturbance.

6. As to the rest of the conditions, we find these are near to the normal reactions under the existent conditions, - as of weakness, of general strain, of nausea, and at times a little temperature.

7. As we find in the present, - we would use the Castor Oil Packs across the abdomen. Keep them on sufficiently long to relieve the tension, but not continuously. Put them on a couple of hours, and then follow with the flushing of the system - either through the Oil or enemas. And then if it is necessary the next day or the next hour or the next minute, put them on again! Just use discretion and common sense!

8. Let the diets be more of buttermilk and the like, with more of cereals - both dry and cooked.

9. And when necessary for a laxative, use the salines, - as of minerals, - rather than of the vegetables; but keep away from laxatives, using colonics or colon irrigations preferably.

10. Take after each meal about a quarter teaspoonful of ALCAROID in plenty of water.

11. Use an alkaline douche to relieve the tension through the area of the pelvic organs; add about two teaspoonsful of Glyco-Thymoline to the quart of water in the Fountain Syringe. Have the water about ninety-eight degrees, or somewhat warmer than body-temperature, - but not so hot as to cause too great an irritation. This would be used about once each day.

12. Be careful not to get in drafts, nor to have too violent an exercise, - but plenty of the fresh air.

13. And we should soon find conditions assuming normal reactions.

15. (Q) Is there a true or false pregnancy, or just what condition do you find? (A) As has been indicated, these are nominal, normal conditions, with only reactions from general weaknesses of the body.
