This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of May, 1938, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. […] [Mrs. [460]”s husband], and questions phoned by Mr. Hugh Lynn Cayce.

1. EC: (In locating body, said “Florence -” GC said, “It is Eugenia.” He answered, “Well, Florence is here too.”)

2. As we find, there is the continuous breaking down of the cellular forces in the circulation owing to the inability of those influences in same to fight the strep infection that destroys the plasm for healing.

3. However, we find that if they would give an intravenous injection of Iodine following a transfusion, this will cause the infections to be held in check - and will allow the transfusion to be more effective in building. It will require, though, that massages be given afterwards, from the extremities towards the body, so that the return flow from extremities is not held up.

4. This as we find offers the hope for any keeping of the physical forces together.

5. The quantity of the injection will necessarily be judged by those in charge. If the Tincture of Iodine is used it will require a closer following according to the usage of same in intravenous injections - and must be done very gently and precautiously. Or, the atomic iodine - that is, Atomidine - may be used, and about fifty c.c. be given. But give, of course, the transfusion first and then the injection, and THEN the massage from the extremities towards the body. If the Tincture of Iodine is used, it would be a very small injection - and gently done, as indicated - under the direction of those in charge.
