This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of Mrs. DeVera Kaplan, 20 Ridgeway Ave., West Orange, N.J., this 27th day of November, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - through her mother, Mrs. [325], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 8:35 to 8:40 A. M. Eastern standard Time. New York City. (Body and enquiring mind. Questions as to Physical condition, associations and connections.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body; this we have had before. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) Did the Atomidine cause the constant menstrual dripping? (A) No. The Atomidine will be HELPFUL to any of the eliminations and the functionings of the glands, if taken properly!

3. (Q) What causes the breaking out at times on back and face? (A) Improper coordination in the distribution of eliminations in system. This may be corrected by taking massages and sweats, and corrections or adjustments along the spinal system.

4. (Q) Why wasn’t the condition corrected from following the treatments outlined in the last reading? (A) Because they weren’t carried on through!

5. (Q) What should be done for her better health now? (A) Just as given. These we would take sometimes twice a month, sometimes once a month. Have the adjustments of the whole cerebrospinal system, so that all the sistrolic [systolic?] movements of the muscular forces with the eliminating forces of the system COORDINATE.

6. (Q) Was the Atomidine taken correctly? (A) Read just what we have said a few minutes ago!

R8. 7/10/40 Reply to EC’s letter: [5/11/40: “Am sure you feel it is more than you can bear at times, yet each of you will, like the Psalmist, have to say, ‘Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.’ Job 13:15] For, not only are your loved ones waiting for you, but your own precious [1638] is also beckoning to you. I know anything anyone tries to say is useless. The answer is within your own heart, and nothing anyone can say does other than let you know they, too, suffer with you. But through our suffering we know Him best, and sometime, somewhere, we will understand. Now we see through a glass darkly [I Cor. 13:12] but there we will understand.”] “Dear Judge: Just a line to tell you how much I appreciate your message to me. Such thoughts have occurred to me but somehow I felt that God would not deal so drastically with his children to teach them a lesson. However, I do not question the divine will, for I cannot expect to understand. The only real comfort comes to me when I dream about the baby and in my fervent hope, and even belief, that God will send him back to us.”

R9. 7/15/40 EC’s letter: “A few days ago I dreamed that I went on a visit to your mother’s at the home in …, Ky., where I first knew you all. At first there was just [2588], [2653] and [5762] with your mother [325] and father. Then each of you came with your families. What a reunion there was! I felt that I was out of place, yet each made me feel that it wouldn’t have been complete had I not been there. All were well and happy. I never saw your mother look better, nor your father, [5762] and [4159], and your little [1638] - it was as if nothing had ever happened - all acted as if nothing had. What would you make out of that?”

10. 8/10/40 “Certainly was interested in your letter. Whatever the rest of your dream may mean, one thing there’s no doubt about. Mother was telling you how happy she is that you’re still so close to all of us. In all her life you were the only one she ever felt like adding to her children. You know she always referred to you as her foster son.

“We’ve had some interesting dreams among us. I’ve never given any real credence to dreams but when the same ones recur so often and are linked with other dreams so closely, one is compelled to give them a little serious thought. I believe [257] told you of his experience when [1638] was taken. He was in …, Pa. and I was in …, N.Y. and in essence we both rec’d the same message… Have you investigated dreams and their causes and results? It would be a grand study - there are so many cross-ideas on the subject.”

R11. 6/28/41 Friend Mrs. [189]‘s letter: “I thought you would like to know that [460] had a little baby girl yesterday. I wonder if she is a reincarnation of little [1638] or an entirely new entity. It would be nice to find out sometime.”
