EC: We have the body here, [1739] - this we have had before. Bettered conditions physical, and the resting of the nerve system, and the constant reactions as are taking place will do most for this body’s FULL recuperation. There needs to be some superficial stimulation to the emunctories and lymphatics. These, as we find, would be very effective by - just when ready to retire - giving a stimulation with the plain violet ray, over the whole of the system, see? ESPECIALLY in those centers, or those portions where the stimulation to the emunctories and lymphatic centers EXTERNALLY would be most EASILY gained access. Following IMMEDIATELY with those vibrations from the electrically driven vibrator, but use the sponge applicator on same - and let THIS be along those centers of the cervical, upper dorsal, and THEN from the radial plexus of the lower locomotories. These, given for five to ten minutes, will rest and ease the body.
-
Keep the mental forces active, but not so active as to produce irritation.
-
The diet forces are very good. Do not allow the body to become picayunish (as it would be termed) about what is to be eaten, or be over worried about those that are building in the physical forces of the body through the foods taken - but let the food be those NOT of the kind that build too much fat, but more muscle, blood and nerve. Celerena would be a very good compound to take occasionally. Yes, put under the tradename Celerena.
-
(Q) Is battery given properly? (A) This very good. These are in much better condition than we have had before.
-
(Q) Is it a mental condition primarily, or a physical condition primarily? (A) Physical primarily. This, as has been given in the first, a pure FAGGED nerve, that prevents the full activities without producing fagging to the whole nerve system - which the mental forces are used, and do use, in their actions.
-
(Q) How much outdoor exercise should the body have? (A) Most of the exercise should be outdoors, but not NIGHT. Day - sunlight -
-
(Q) How often should Celerena be given? (A) May be given two to three times each day - teaspoonful at a dose. We are through with this reading.

R2. 3/18/30 [1739]‘s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach, Virginia
Dear Mr. Cayce:
The little booklet containing your auto-biography was presented to the writer, who has read contents carefully. It was very uplifting and inspiring.
Like many others, I was rather inclined to be curious and at the same time skeptical. Although I have only been in contact with your wonderful work for the last six weeks, I must confess that within one week I was completely healed from an ailment from which I had suffered for several years.
May I not at this time give my point of view regarding the work that you are doing for mankind. Sometimes I wonder if your patients fully realize the benefit they are receiving. Of course, it is absolutely necessary that each individual must do his part if he is to fully regain his health and happiness.
Have these patients the knowledge that it requires absolute faith and do they realize that with God all things are POSSIBLE? Do they also know that the least lack of faith on their part may hinder their demonstration?
Personally, I think that each individual must follow your instructions when leaving your institution and unless they do this the second condition may be far worse than the first.
How many on this earth would be willing to give their all to have this opportunity of being helped, mentally or physically, and how many, knowing of your good work are held back - NOT QUITE READY - owing to religious prejudice or being influenced erroneously by others?
Most patients, I believe, come here as a last resort and I honestly do not believe that there is another institution that is of such benefit as the Cayce Hospital.
In conclusion, are there many who are grateful for the blessings bestowed and in Jesus’ own words concerning the ten lepers, “Were there not ten cleansed, but where are the nine? there are not found that returned to give glory to God save this stranger.” And he said unto him, “Arise, go thy way. They faith hath made thee whole.”
May God’s word enrich the affections of mankind and govern them and with the Master’s injunction - “As ye go, preach ‘the kingdom of Heaven is at hand,’ heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils. Freely ye have received, freely give.”
Yours in Christ’s truth, [1739]
