EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1739]. This we have had before. The suppressions and pressures as have inhibit - that’s a good word here in this condition - inhibit the system, have been relieved in a greater part. There needs to be, most, that the physical and the activities of the nerve forces as RELATED to physical be strengthened. While the body NEAR normal, yet were there to be activities of a very severe mental OR physical nature, these would be detrimental UNDER the existent conditions. Why? Just as the elasticity of a rubber is as of a certain texture according to the length, breadth, width, also as to the amount of heat applied to same - just so in the elasticity in the activity of nerve and muscular forces in a physical organism, where DEPLETION has been apparent, and have been active, to overtax those would be as to burn that rubber too much, making it brittle. So here, we will add to the general physical organism of the body in such a way and manner as to STRENGTHEN the body THROUGHOUT the bone, the muscle, the sinew of the body. Be active physically, yes - get out and do some real work, yes - but not too much! Do not overtax it in any direction.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What is cause of boils? (A) This would be said by some - meanness coming out; that is, the activity of the eliminations in system are showing their activity in the CAPILLARY circulation. These are not harmful, in so long as they DO NOT become constitutional. These will be found that ACTIVITIES PHYSICALLY will aid in eliminations being COORDINATED, and reduce same. Keep the body, in the food values, as near normally balanced between those of the acid and alkalin. These may BEST be found by the tests as may be made for such; not from stools - rather from juices of the stomach itself, see?
-
(Q) Can diet be added to? (A) Depends upon the activity of the body! If the body is to take REGULAR exercise in the open - if you feel that the physical forces are to be brought into play, then we would change somewhat in diet. If it’s to be more sedentary in its actions, as has been heretofore, don’t change it!
-
(Q) How long is it advisable for patient to stay here? (A) Until there is the proper elasticity in nerve and muscular forces. How will it be known? When it can work all day without getting tired!
-
That is all the questions regarding this body.

We are through with this reading.

Dear Judge:-
Since the writer expects to be here for some time as a patient of the Cayce Hospital, he would suggest that it would be a practical idea if he could purchase outright a piece of land nearby and develop it for agricultural purposes. This would give him an opportunity of utilizing his time for the benefit of the hospital, as well as himself, but, of course, placing no obligation whatever on the hospital.
I am sure that the folks back home will welcome this suggestion and assist me in any way I desire and with your cooperation in the purchasing of necessary materials, I see no reason why this project cannot be accomplished to our mutual benefit.
When at your leisure, please give me your advice regarding the above.
Sincerely, [1739]
