This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this Saturday, the 18th day of April, 1925, in accordance with request made by her brother, through Mr. E. H. Gross.

GC: You will have before you the body of [177], who is about three or four miles out from …, Ohio, on Rural Route #5, also the reading given on this body at 9:00 P. M. April 15, 1925. You will give the conditions of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for the relief and cure of same. You will answer any questions relative to this body that I will ask you.

EC: Yes, we have the body here and the reading as was given on this body. We have had this, as you see, before in this.

Now, we find the conditions are bettered in the body and that producing same. We have at the present time brought a check, as it were, to the destructive forces in the blood supply. While all properties as were to be accorded in system have not all been applied, yet sufficient to bring the bettered conditions for the body.

We would, then, to bring the normal forces and to bring nearer normality to the reproducing of plasmatic cell through blood supply in the nominal way and form, add at the present time still those properties as were given in capsule formation, gradually decreasing the frequency of the properties, gradually decreasing the stimulation as given through that pertaining to the alcoholic effect, using rather those of the juices of fruits in the place of same.

Then, applying at least once each day those rays as will be found in the ultra-violet ray, or the Alpine ray. These, we see, will bring the element necessary in the straining and restraining of blood stream to destroy that that is affecting the red blood corpuscles of the system. Will stimulate the functioning of the spleen in such a manner as to bring the nominal destruction in red blood cells and diminishing the amount of the plasm as produces the destruction of same. This we find will be necessary for the rebuilding, reconstruction of forces in this body, [177].

(Q) Are the capsules being given the body at the present time properly prepared? (A) That as was given for the body is the correct way to prepare same. Do that in that manner.

(Q) Should they continue to give these capsules? (A) This as has been given. Continue, but gradually decreasing the frequency of the dose.

(Q) What fruit juices would be best? (A) Those of oranges and of any citrus fruits.

(Q) What should the diet be? (A) The properties that carry the greater quantity of protein with iron.
After this has been taken for a time, the rays and the medicinal properties, well to add juices of beef and iron, beef and wine, in small quantities, with the emulsion of codliver oils. Small dosages, however, for the system.

R2. GD’s note: In July 1960 when Dr. W. N. Pahnke researched the leukemia readings, Case [177] was included, as we had thought it was a leukemia case. Dr. Pahnke ruled out Case [177] and three other cases as Hodgkin’s disease, and sought to get a death certificate on each one.
R3. 10/26/60 Photostatic copy of the original certificate was sent to Dr. Pahnke, which he subsequently gave to us for our files, indicating that Miss [177] had died on 4/22/25 at 10:00 A. M., of Hodgkin’s disease and contributory (secondary) acute myocarditis. Dr. L. M. Otis, M.D., signed the death certificate, saying he had attended Miss [177] from 4/13/25 to 4/22/25.
