This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of February, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self through Mr. [437], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
-
GC: You will have before you the body of [1781], …, New York City, who seeks information as to his physical condition and suggestions for help and relief. The reading which was supposed to be given for this body on January 4th apparently does not fit his condition. Please explain this situation.
-
EC: Yes.
-
We do not find that we have had this same individual body before.
-
As we find with this body, [1781], there are disturbing conditions as prevent the proper eliminations.
-
By an overstimulated nerve condition, with the activities through the alimentary canal, there has been caused a thinning of the walls; or the amount of the lymph flow activative through same produces a fermentation through portions of the jejunum.
-
This in turn causes an improper flow of the lymph and of the division, as it were, between the eliminations as should be carried through the system - or alimentary canal; so that disturbance is caused to the superficial circulation.
-
As we find, diet - combined with stimulation for especially the dorsal and the lower cervical area, with a better activity through stimulated flow of lymph activity from the lumbar and sacral area - would materially aid the body to a better normal condition.
-
Such stimulation as we find would best be given osteopathically.
-
And there should be, as combined with same, the better eliminations through the colon by the use of colonic irrigations.
-
As for local applications to the abrasions on portions of body, or exposed portions, a two percent solution of tetrachloride in alcohol would be the most effective applications to reduce the irritations.
-
In the diet - there should be no foods that carry great quantities of oils OR fats. No combinations of those foods that produce too great an alcoholic reaction, such as the combination of nuts or the like with red meats or fried foods of any nature.
-
Have more of a milk diet, or of roast beef with potatoes - irish potatoes, mashed, or the like. These AS a combination would be very well, if added to the diet of the body.
-
Do these and as we find we may bring the better reactions for this body.
-
Considering the attempt for the reading, or the information on the 4th, we do not find same referring to this particular body.
-
Whence, then, came the suggestions?
-
Others in the same building.
-
Ready for questions.
-
We are ready for questions.
-
(Q) How often should the lotion be applied? (A) About twice a day.
-
(Q) How often the osteopathic treatments? (A) About twice a week until there are no static forces indicated in the lumbar and sacral, and until there is a better elimination through the alimentary canal.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/8/39 [1781]‘s letter to EC:
“As per instructions in your letter dated February 3rd, I can’t seem to get the solution tetrachloride. The druggist seemed to want further instructions as to just what it is.
“Awaiting your reply…”
R2. 2/10/39 EC’s letter to Mr. [1781]:
“I have yours of the 8th. While I am not personally acquainted with much pharmacy, and I do not know tetrachloride at all, I am told by my local druggist that practically the same thing may be had in DDD solutions: compound put up by DDD Corporation, Bartavia, Ill. I would suggest you try that.
“Hoping that you may receive wonderful results…”
R3. 2/15/39 [257]‘s letter to EC: ”…That was a remarkable situation of [437] and the patient living in his house. [1781] I wish that another question had been asked as to the name of the patient in the house at the time. I saw [437] the other day, but he had not received the second reading as yet…”
