This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of January, 1939, in accordance with request made by the nephew - Mr. [1005], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be asked.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. As we find, there are many disturbing and contributory causes to the disturbance; but the smothering and the irregularity of the heart’s activity are the effects of the lack of the circulatory forces being sufficiently able to carry through the fleshy portions about the heart, and the pressure that is made by the colon and its filling onto same.

4. The eliminations then by irrigations, and the activity of Nitro-Glycerine tablets as might be for the effecting of a better circulation, would be the more helpful; these, of course, under the direction of a physician as to amount and frequency, you see, - this dependent upon that, of course, which has already been administered.

5. Nothing that would tend, then, to shorten the breath; as of soda, as of any form of that which produces a heaviness of the air or air passages - as hartshorn or the like. Nothing of that nature. Nothing that tends to cause a slowing of circulation, but equalizing same.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Any advice or directions regarding giving the enemas? (A) Only to relieve or ease the tendencies of filling in the colon on the left side.

8. (Q) Should anything be used in the water, as a saline? (A) Naturally.

9. (Q) Both salt and soda? (A) Salt and soda; and body-temperature, - not too much. Of course, the body should NOT necessarily - as the condition is indicated - be flat or lying down too flat, see?

10. We are through for the present.
