This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of December, 1925, in accordance with request made by Mr. [195].

Time of Reading 10:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Dayton, Ohio.

1. GC: You will have before you the Radio-Active Applicator, as has been given in previous readings, and you will answer any questions regarding same that I may ask you.

2. EC: Yes, we have the information as given to build or prepare the Radio-Active Applicator, as given also, those in forms as have been prepared for same. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) You will please give in detail how this Radio-Active Applicator should be built, giving all parts in detail, for anemia, and how same should be applied to the body. (A) In this, these, as we see, have been given. To give again then in detail, as this: There should be the 2 pieces of carbon steel, the ratio as given of the carbon, the size, the length as given, with the 2 pieces of glass between these 2 pieces of steel, and the wire attached to the end of the steels, as given. The steels encased in the charcoal gasket, as given, with an outside container of metal or rubber. To the ends of the wires so attach pieces of German silver, or of silver plate, the positive being the small anode or plate, the negative being the large anode or plate that is to be attached to the central, or the umbilicus, or near to same, depending upon the individual case as to, from what, position the vibration is taken that is producing that condition in the system, see? The solution for same being the tincture of iron, in the 2 ounce, large mouth, container, to which there is attached in this the nickel plate, or silver plate, wire that in the shape of the hairpin being quarter to half inch in loop from bottom of the glass container of same. The wire attached to each end of the projection above the rubber stopper in same, or of the non-conducting material, see, to keep solution in bottle, see?

4. (Q) You will tell us in the various solutions that may be used with this appliance, what metal should be used to make the connection with solution that vibrations from same are to be carried into the body. (A) In the various solutions we see we have the different action, or different vibration from same. In any or all solutions, there may be the leaden wire, or the nickel wire, or the copper wire. Any of these are acted on differently by the different solutions, see? The leaden wire would be acted upon less by any of the solutions, iodine, iron or alcoholic solutions, or gold solutions. While we make the vibrations less by use of the lead wire, the activity of same to the system is not decreased, so nickel, silver, German silver, alloy, lead or copper may be used in these various ones to meet the needs of the conditions for the individual solution, see?

5. That is all the questions.

B2. 10/31/25 Mr. [195]‘s letter: “Heard from [900] wanting an applicator [Radio-Active Appliance]; also heard from Dr. [4508] here. In going over Dr. [4508]‘s wife [4509]‘s case I discovered that the Silver Nitrate - commercial - comes in 20% or 10% or otherwise and is a water solution. One of our readings advised all solutions on negative pole to be at least 75% alcohol and if this is the case the solutions as given should be prepared specially.

“We have given Tincture of Iron, Iodine, Silver Nitrate, Gold Chloride, Spirits of Camphor. We should have a reading to correct any mistake - maybe [4307] and [147] are using wrong mixture. Though from name (Spirits of Camphor) I presume [4307] is using proper solution. The question should read something like this:

“In a Radio-Active Appliance the vibrations as received from solutions attached to negative pole such as Gold Chloride, Silver Nitrate, Spirits of Camphor, Tincture of Iron, Tincture of Iodine, as given in former reading, best produced when alcoholic content was not less than 75%. As Silver Nitrate and Gold Chloride, etc., commercially, are prepared in water, give percentage of each mineral for best results, as dissolved in alcohol, and state which of above solutions may be used from solutions as prepared commercially.

“That is all for the present. Hope to get out a battery tomorrow for [4508] and one for [900] in a day or so. On account of certain construction difficulties I have not so far been able to get proper drawings for rubber moulds. Hope to get drawings this week. Then it will take a few weeks in which to get moulds. Will have to work out some wording for patent application.

“Your friend [4508] is quite suggestive.”

B3. 11/3/25 EC’s letter to Mr. [195]: “As for the various things carried in the vibratory rate, I believe there is one of the readings that gives you this: That all solutions soluble in alcohol have to be at least 75%. There is another that also states that all metals carried in solution, whether soluble in water or alcohol, will give off their own vibratory rate. I believe this answers your question. Look over these readings and see if this is not true, and if it is not, you know we’ll be glad to take this at the first opportunity. Or, maybe it would be best for us to get this anyway at the first opportunity, which we will try and do.”

B4. 11/13/25 Mr. [195]‘s letter: “The moulds for the battery box are not coming along very fast for reason that the engineers and mould or die manufacturers can’t agree as how to get rubber in and leave an outlet for overflow, at same time maintaining a pressure. Hope they get it settled before long.”

B5. 11/14/25 Mr. [195]‘s letter: “The present type of applicator hasn’t the finished appearance it should have and will have with rubber box, and I can’t change as much now as I can in the future. In making up of these batteries I hit onto various refinements - consequently in the future the contrivance will look fine.”

B6. 11/18/25 Mr. [195]‘s letter: “Hope you were able to get reading on Appliance and how to use or make a nickel anode so that it would not be eaten in half by action of iron iodine and other metals in alcoholic solution.”

B7. 11/20/25 Mr. [195]‘s letter from EC: “I certainly had overlooked the request for the reading for the usage of wires that will work in the various solutions on battery. We’ll certainly attend to that the first opportunity.”

B8. 11/27/25 Mr. [195]‘s letter: “Received a letter from [900] relative to a form of applicator for his brother [137]. I answered the letter quoting him and stating that as Tincture of Iron would be used a special anode would cause a delay in shipment for 10 days after order was received. You will recall that Tincture of Iron eats the nickel wire anode and that you were going to make a reading along the lines as suggested by me as to whether a nickel plate could not be put in solution instead of wire or else how to keep the wire from being eaten so rapidly.”
