GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:

EC: Yes.

Now as we find in the present, there are more hopeful expectancies, at least, for this body.

The present environs, present surroundings, - considering the physical and mental conditions, and the necessary influences, - are very good for the time being.

As to just how long this will be depends as much upon the attitude of the individuals who are personally in charge of this individual case.

For here we will find the needs of a great deal of personal or individual attention.

But for the present, those applications that are being made we would not alter.

However, with the very cold weather, or after - we would say - the fifteenth of November, it would be necessary that some other changes be made.

For the present, keep those environs.

As to the mental, - with proper precautions, and not too much of just the allaying of the activities, we find that these may react.

In the present, from the physical angle, it would be unseeming to say just what the outcome would be.

(Q) Are they helping him where he is? (A) As indicated, we would not change these. These are good, so long as they give the personal attention as at present.

(Q) Any suggestions regarding treatment? (A) No suggestions regarding treatment in the present environs. These may come somewhat later.

(Q) Where would you suggest taking him, when changes are made? (A) This will depend upon the reactions by that time, see?

Dear Mr. [2413]-
Am very much interested in the case of [1843] and sincerely hope the suggestions this time have not been a miss. Would like if at all in keeping with your wishes to keep in touch with the progress he makes and in a few months now check again on the developments if possible. Hope at that time possibly to be in N.Y. and if may would like to see the boy, and talk with you about him. And do hope we may be the means of helping, that he may take his place in the conditions of the world today.

R2. 11/8/40 Mr. [2413]‘s letter to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cacey [Cayce], Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cacey:
We would like another reading on the case of [1843] as soon as possible.
He is at present at Letchworth Institute, under the government care.
What we would like to know is, what is retarding his progress to normalcy, and what would you suggest for the betterment of this child.
Up to your first reading, the child was 75% normal, and the other 25% the child would be very erratic and needed personal constant care at all times. He would not be accepted in the public schools, and at the age of 7, just before your last reading, was ordered to Bellevue Hospital for observation, and after being there for two weeks, a spinal puncture was taken, and two weeks after that was sent to Letchworth Village in Thiele, New York. This gives his history up till now. He will be eight years old on November 10th.
