This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of November, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1853], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through Dr. W. D. Taylor.
[Edgar Cayce; Hugh Lynn Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.J.
-
HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [1853]; this we have had before.
-
There is a great deal of improvement in the general physical forces of this body, though there are still those conditions which disturb the body at times.
-
The tendency or inclination for the activities through the blood stream to become stagnated, forming that peculiar character of anemia, indicates the disturbance through the activity of the spleen. This is the cause of the condition in the great toe, - or that tendency for same to indicate a form of paresis, or paralysis there.
-
A stimulation then for this condition will also cause a better activity or circulation as related to that between the heart AND liver.
-
While there may not be such extreme measures taken as to reduce this pressure between the heart and the liver along those areas of the venous as well as arterial circulation there, these need to be better coordinated - in the manner of stimulating the impulses from the nerve forces of the body to these portions of the system more specific, - the spleen and its functioning, - equalizing the flow or pulsation through the arteries and veins, as well as related to the flow between the liver and the heart itself - or the thrombose in this particular circulation.
-
We would then administer the mechanical pressure through the nature of the naturopath or the neurological effect to be created; paralleling the areas of impulse from the spine to the spleen in the 2nd dorsal center, with especially the coccyx end of the circulation - but upon the left side of same.
-
Use also the radionics, but those that are of the nature that will make for equalizing the pulsation in extremities of the body. This as we find may be best done through the use of the Radio-Active Appliance, which is the radionic activity but is that builded or supplied FROM the body-vibrations themselves, by the very nature of the construction of the Appliance. This will ease the tendency of the weakness in the system, equalizing the circulation, especially when the body lies prone, with that existent when the body is erect and in motion.
-
Continue the use of the White Light for the Body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes my eyes to have spells occasionally when starry figures circle around in front of them, and sometimes everything goes black? (A) The circulation, - and those things indicated will relieve these disturbances.
It is an unequalization of the pressures between impulses from the cerebrospinal and sympathetic nerve system, as related to the activity of the blood especially from or between liver and heart, as affected to the sensory nerve system through the very areas as we have indicated, - by the impulses from the vegetative nerve system as well as to the secondary cardiac reaction in the 2nd dorsal center.
Hence the need for it to be paralleled with the reflexes to the brush end of the cerebrospinal nerve system, as it relates there to the sympathetic or vegetative nerve system AND the cerebrospinal.
-
(Q) Is my heart only a nervous one or is there something else? (A) It is that as we have indicated; it’s partially nerves and part the stagnation, that needs the stimulating of the spleen for the equalizing of this circulation.
-
(Q) What causes the pain and weakness in my hands? (A) Poor circulation.
Stimulate it in the manner as we have indicated.
Do that, and keep the rest of the things in the order as has been outlined, and we will find the better forces for this body.
- We are through for the present.

ASSOCIATION FOR RESEARCH AND ENLIGHTENMENT, INC., Virginia Beach, Virginia
Date of Readings March 29 & Nov. 28, 1939 Case No. 1853-1, 2
Note: As a research organization we are endeavoring to make a thorough study of psychic information in relation to human ailments. We will deeply appreciate your cooperation in securing a thorough report on this case.
Name (Mrs.) [1853]
(1) (a) Did the Reading presented to you describe the condition of the patient? (b) Explain any variation. (c) Give technical diagnosis. (a) Yes. With one exception. (b) There is a condition of Traumasthenia from an old gun shot wound. (c) (Originally treated for) Paroophoritis, Parenchymatous inflammation, Uterosacral.
(2) Were the suggestions for treatment in your opinion proper for this condition? The conditions manifest in this case in my opinion were properly treated under the directions given in the Readings. They were apparently directed to the Uterosacral condition entirely. This seems to have been corrected by a strict adherence to the readings.
(3) For what period of time has the patient followed directions given in the Reading under your care? From June 1939 to March 4th, 1940, and on, as treatments are being continued.
(4) What results have you observed? The tissue involvement of the Uterosacral condition which apparently had something to do with improper treatment after childbirth, has cleared up.
The traumasthenia is manifesting itself in the eyes, particularly the left eye in which there seems to be a tightening of the muscles which in turn, after any undue eyestrain, causes discomfort and dizziness. This condition seems to be responding to treatment.
(5) Comment. It is my belief that the gun-shot wound which Mrs. [1853] sustained as a young woman, and which entered the front of the neck, destroying one set of vocal chords, and making an exit of the projectile near the region of the seventh cervical and 1st dorsal is the direct cause of the eye condition through effecting the 6th cranial and trifacial nerves.

Re: Case No. 1853-1, 2
Paroophoritis is an inflamed condition around the ovarian region which in this case extended on into the Uterosacral, it being a Parenchymatous inflammation which means it was a tissue involvement. This caused a weakness of the lower extremities and in this particular case made it difficult for the patient to walk any distance because of severe pain in lower limbs and feet.
The Traumasthenia is a nervous condition or affection resulting from a traumatic injury which in this case was a gunshot would entering the neck in front and going entirely through and leaving the body between the seventh cervical and first dorsal. As far as I can ascertain the spinous process of the first dorsal vertebrae was chipped and little hope was held out at that time for her life.
