This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 31st day of January, 1942, in accordance with request made the by the self, through phone request by wife on the night of January 29, 1942, - Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: As we find, there are disturbing conditions. And these arise in the main from acute disturbances that are from a combination of a general nature.

3. The body having been overtaxed physically and mentally, and with the acute congestion, this has upset the general circulation; and particularly the sympathetic nerve system; until those reactions from lungs, liver and heart cause such headaches, such fullness and stuffiness, such an upset in the digestive forces, as to make for very disturbing conditions in the body.

4. These as we find are more of the lymph being excessive in activity, with the rather rundown condition being such as to prevent the proper coagulation; and thus the lack of nerve energies, and the weakness that has been manifested through the body.

5. As we find, we would do these:

6. Begin with minute doses of Milk of Bismuth, - about a teaspoonful in a glass of water, in which there is also stirred six drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin, - before each meal.

7. Also begin at once with the thorough relaxations osteopathically, with especial reference to the sinus and soft tissue in the face, and then the drainages in the body - that is, for the alimentary canal.

8. Due to these properties that we have indicated to be taken to aid in digestion and is settling the stomach and absorbing the toxic poisons that exist, as well as the inflammatory conditions through the alimentary canal, - it will be necessary to have at least two or three high colonic irrigations. These should be given by one acquainted with such, or one who may give same scientifically, so that we may cleanse the colon and alleviate these distresses through the system. These should be at least a week or ten days apart.

9. The osteopathic treatments should be given sufficiently often to keep the body relaxed and to set up proper drainages.

10. In the diet, - do give plenty of beef juices; not soups, but beef juice, - and this taken as medicine; about a teaspoonful every three hours, but this should be sipped, not taken all at once as a dose of medicine or water or the like, but sipped a little at the time. This will give strength and vitality.

11. There should be in the general diet plenty of liquids and semi-liquids.

12. And these, as we find, should bring better conditions for this body.

14. Also we would give the low electrical vibrations of the Violet Ray (hand machine), but not with the bulb applicator. Rather use the metal rod applicator that is held in the hand, or it may be held in the hand one time and the next time the foot placed upon it - with the rod lying upon a piece of glass, you see - the bare foot placed on it. Take this for at least a minute and a half, or for two to three minutes, each evening - preferably just before ready to retire; one evening holding it in the hand, the next evening setting the foot upon it - opposite extremity, you see; continuing to alternate in this manner.

15. Do all of these. Do not have one and not the other, for these should work together.

The hand machine violet ray should be obtained from any drug or electrical supply house. Be sure and get one with the metal rod attachment, which is the applicator you need.
