This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of May, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [1865], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.J.
-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them.
-
EC: Yes.
-
As we find, conditions are in some respects better, and in others not so good; that is, they do not APPEAR good in the present, because of the acute pain that comes so oft with the attempted activity of the lower limbs.
-
This is the very nature of the disturbance, - that is, the breaking down of the cellular force in the nerve forces of the body, you see, causes the pain along the nerves of the limbs, as well as those tendencies for the body to want to stretch - even THOUGH it causes some little pain - because of the very reactions of the tendons and muscles that are governed by, and that work along with, those nerve forces that are IN the changes, - some to deterioration and some to resuscitation, see?
-
We find that it will be well to keep those applications of the Gold Solutions through the low electrical vibrations as consistently as practical.
-
Also we would keep the rubs with the equal combination of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil, over the areas of those centers from which the limbs obtain their nerve impulse, as well as along the limbs themselves, - and these will be much more helpful. If there is at any period in the day the acute pain, have a thorough general massage with this oil combination, as well as at the regular periods.
-
We would also take just as much of calves’ liver each day as is practical, not to become obnoxious to the entity. And do not have it cooked too done, but just so it is palatable to the body, - but broiled only in butter, you see. Take as much of this as practical. And even if the body is able to maintain (that is, to keep it down) the Valentine’s Liver Extract, - this will be most helpful. At first it will be rather hard for this body to take, but take a little bit and try to increase it, so that the body will take at least a tablespoonful during a day.
-
Then keep the rest of those suggestions as have been indicated.
-
Ready for questions.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/28/39 [1865]‘s letter to EC:
“Thank you so much for your ‘reading’ and your note received today. I shall follow your suggestions and hope myself for the best results.
“I have never heard from the Health Home Remedies in …, Va. and it is two weeks now, that I have ordered the refilling chemicals and jar, which cracked, to be sent to me C.O.D. for the Wet Cell Appliance. I am very anxious to continue these treatments during June, because when away with the children I care for, it will be impossible for me to have them.
“Soon your Congress will be here. I shall think about it and I wish many will find a great blessing in it.
“Thanking you again…”
R2. 5/31/39 EC’s letter to [1865]:
“I have yours of the 28th. I do hope you are feeling better. I am surprised that you haven’t heard from the Health Home Remedies Corporation. They are usually very prompt. If you haven’t by the time you have this, please let me know and I will see what can be done about it.
“Thanking you and sincerely hoping to be of a service…”
R3. 6/23/39 [1865]‘s letter to EC:
“In the beginning of July I have to go in the country with the children and will not be able until September to go on with my treatments.
“I have not improved in the past month. Perhaps it is due to the heat. I feel sorry not to be able to give you a better account, but I do not lose faith and look with great hope forward.
“May I ask you for a check up reading before I have to leave …? It would be next week between the 26th until the 2nd of July.
“I thought a great deal of you during the Congress days and I hope it has been helpful to many.
“I thank you, dear Mr. Cayce, and hope for your answer…”
