This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of December, 1941 [Really taken Dec. 11, 1941], in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1931], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 10:40 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Syracuse, N.Y.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1931], Syracuse, N.Y., who seeks information, advice and guidance as to best procedure in preparing for and carrying out his life and work, as outlined in his Life Reading of June 23, 1939. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1931]; this we have had before.

3. In giving counsel or advice, many conditions that have arisen, that may arise in the experience of the body must be taken into consideration.

4. Owing to circumstances that has arisen, - early in the program of the entity there should be the enlistment in the defense of the country. This would be rather in keeping with those studies that are to be in the conservation, and thus a defense for the future of this land.

5. Hence in those departments, either in the ambulance corp., the medical portion, or that as related to the quartermaster, or any phase in which there is the conservation of life itself, of the abilities of individuals to be supplied to give their best, - these should be the channels, then that the body would engage in.

6. For, there will be just as much needs when there is peace again for the study and the application of conservation in forest, in land, in even nature’s storehouse of every nature.

7. Then, in the services to thy country, let these be in keeping with that, - conservation of life, of purpose, of activity to enable the ideal to be carried on. For, keep that ideal, ever, to make the land, the conditions, the mind of man nearer to that purpose which a Creative Force has meant, does give man’s opportunity for being.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) When would you advise this enlistment? (A) At the end of this term, at least; or by early January, or latter week of December. Or when such application can be in the direction as may be chosen by the body.

10. (Q) In what activity may I progress and find contentment in the present? (A) As has been indicated.

11. (Q) With my present knowledge, is there any position which I might fill? (A) As has been indicated.

12. (Q) After this world crisis, what will be the status of conservation and forestry? (A) As just indicated, there will be as great or greater needs for such in every phase of man’s experience, as there has been. And all phases of such will be considered. Thus offering the entity the opportunity for still carrying on in those directions.

13. (Q) Where may I find the stone lapis lazuli or lapis linguis? (A) This is an exuding of copper. Either in the copper mines of the southwest, or about Superior, or in Montana.

14. (Q) Any other advice at this time? (A) Keep those principles first and foremost in the activity, - conservation of life, of purpose, of hope - in the minds of men, thy fellow men. For, thou ART thy brother’s keeper. So in ALL thy activities keep that first in thy principle of application of abilities, of opportunities, of purpose.

15. We are through for the present.

Dear [1931]:

Called your Mother but could get no answer - so went a head any way. Hope you find the information of interest, and the suggestions in keeping with your own mind and for your own best interests. Will be glad to hear from you, and just what your decisions are in the matter. Am sure you like every other good American will want to do your part. Believe the suggestions offer you the right direction, where you may do the most and in the best way for self and others, and keep the principals that should guide ever [every] honest man. Know what this means to you, as well as to your Mother, for we are experiencing the same in our own.

Let me hear from you, and can we be of a help any where, be sure and let me know.

R2. 2/9/43 [1931]‘s letter to EC:

Mon.,

Dear Dr. Cayce,

Suppose you are so busy that you will hardly have time to read this but thought I would drop you a line or two to let you know that [1931] is still in existence.

Still going to school, taking a little agriculture and hoping to get a commission in the R.O.T.C. at Fort Benning Ga. in June. Don’t see how I can be of much help in the “Conservation of Life” line (reading 1941) but there might be a Medical detachment nearby after the bars are on the shoulders. You see, Fort Benning is Infantry.

Got the inclosed [see Article by Dr. Frank B. Robinson below]

• the other day and thought that you might like to glance at it. Don’t know how much truth there is in it but it is interesting.

I would appreciate it if you could send me some of the past literature (pardon the word - I can’t find the one I’m looking for) of the Association.

Read the first reading over tonight for the first time in a long time and was surprised at the new meanings.

Hope you are well and will you remember the “lost one” to your wife & Miss Davis.

A SPIRITUAL PROPHECY REGARDING THIS WAR

by DR. FRANK B. ROBINSON Founder of “PSYCHIANA” Moscow, Idaho.

(This prophecy was made on Christmas Day 1940. Many of the things prophesied have already come true.)

I see the next two years as the most devastating years in history. I have already prophesied the present war, and I see the complete disintegration of all powers and forces who believe in conquest by the sword. But I do not see the winning of this war by either side. Rather do I see a spiritual manifestation of God on the earth. Not in any “supernatural” manner such as Jesus coming on the clouds of heaven. Rather, I see the mind of man freeing itself from pagan superstitions and traditions about God, and in their place accepting the fullness of the Power of the Spirit of God here and now, right on the earth. For this amazing Power does exist and can be used by all.

I see either an attack on Japan by the United States, or an attack on the United States by Japan. If the latter, I see this attack to be an air attack, either on Honolulu, the Philippines, or the west coast of California, Washington, or Oregon. It will be a surprize attack. It will be devastating in the extreme.

I see Japan remarkably successful. I see the fall of the “Islands of the Pacific” and this probably means Hawaii, Wake, Midway, the Philippines, Java and many other islands now not occupied by the Japs. I prophecy the fall of Singapore, and I prophecy that both Australia and India will be attacked by the Japs. Corregidor will hold out, but will fall. It cannot stand if Manila falls, and I see the fall of this port. In fact, I see the Japanese hordes carrying everything before them. They will probably be able to join forces with Hitler.

I see Tokyo in flames, but I do not see that causing the fall of Japan. I see our airplane factories bombed, and I see labor troubles in our beloved United States. I see a time of trouble such as the world has never seen. I see the end of this war coming by a revelation to all nations that the Power of the invisible Spirit of God actually exists on the earth. I see them discovering the fact that this invisible superhuman Power can be used by all men and women of all nations. I see this Power, and this Power alone bringing war-mad despots to their knees. I see 1000 years of peace, during which time the Spirit of God will be the most powerful Force in human lives. I see our churches fighting the Power of the Spirit of God, but I see also a religious Movement, probably the PSYCHIANA Movement, taking the lead in the discovery of the Power of the Spirit of God. I see present creeds, traditions, and dogmas falling by the weight of their own error. They will be replaced by a universal concept of Almighty God. This concept will start, not in the church but entirely outside of it. The churches will not accept it until they lose so many members they will be forced to.

I see the present war lasting from 3 1/2 to 4 years. It will stop suddenly, and not by the elimination of any nation or nations. Neither side will win this war. Their eyes will be detracted from the war by the Spiritual Movement which will start on the earth. This Movement is now in existence. It is, however, violently opposed by the churches because it does not teach their creeds, dogmas, and traditions. The same religious intolerance which burned Savonarola at the stake, which crucified Jesus, and which caused the murder of Michael Servetus by John Calvin, head of what is now known as the Presbyterian Church, will attempt to crucify the man who is bringing to the earth the actual truths of Almighty God. They will not succeed. Hitler will come to his end either through suicide or assassination.

Already many vicious church attacks have been made on the Founder of The PSYCHIANA Movement, and even now attempts are being made to stop the PSYCHIANA Teaching. But these attempts will all fail. The PSYCHIANA Movement is the Movement through which the actual truths of God are being, and will continue to be manifested on the earth. The island of Japan will be submerged by a terrible earthquake.

This prophecy has been spiritually received by me from the Realm of the Spirit of God. In essence it will come true. A few minor details may be different, but in the main, this prophecy will be fulfilled. I write on Xmas day, 1940.

Note written May 10th, 1942. It is evident how close to the truth this prophecy has come so far. Every phase of it will come true. I suggest that men and women everywhere get ready for the manifestation of the truths of God as the PSYCHIANA Movement is revealing those truths.

R3. 3/13/43 EC’s letter to [1931]:

Dear [1931]:

No, don’t think will ever be too busy to read the mail, tho since the Book - There is a River - is out the mail is getting heavier. Have you seen the book - was written by Sugrue, and published by Holt and Co. of N.Y. Think it is a very nice job all the way. Be sure and get a copy and tell me what you think of it. What some of the reviewers have done to it is something but some are very very nice - the local Va. Beach paper and the Ledger Dispatch of Norfolk were very complementary.

Was afraid they would have you in the Army before this - but hope you keep in the line for better things for better way of life in the U.S.A.

Well think you will find there will be many ways you can put in to practice “Conservation of Life” plant life at that even in the Infantry.

Yes have heard a great deal of Mr. Robinson, have seen his lessons. May be good for many, am sure it is else it could not live.

Sending a couple of the Booklets under separate cover. Let me know when you want more, but be sure and get a copy of the Book and read it.

Yes - the most interesting thing about the readings - there seems to be something alive in them, for they are new with practically every reading of them. Glad to hear from you - went to N.Y. the 20th of Jan. and come back to find Miss Davis abed with Mumps, was out a couple of weeks, all about on feet tho again.

“Goes to training at Ft. Benning, Ga., in July, for second lieutenant, hopes to get a Rdg. before June 15th to see whether he should try to get out of the army and go into the farming. I bought a farm for him out near … recently. He wants to be in the Army and yet wants to run the farm, as it is nearer in accord with what the Life Rdg. told him to do. So he’d like the Ck. Rdg. to tell him which is best at this particular time.”
