This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 4th day of December, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Dr. [1940], also through his mother - Mrs. [1010].
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 3:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Alabama.
-
GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [1940] at his office, …, Birmingham, Alabama. You will give the body a business reading, answering the questions which he will ask you concerning the selling of a device known as a Split-ball-bearing, invented by Joseph A. Gregovsky, co-inventors Marion Stansell and R. F. Cooney, for which he is acting as sales-agent under Mr. Cooney. You will also answer the questions which he will ask you pertaining to his profession and location.
-
EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [1940] and those conditions and circumstances as surround the body. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Will I sell the Split-ball-bearing to the concern in Germany or to some concern here in America, and who? (A) In the sale of the Split-ball device, we find the opportunities are greater in and through the channels in Germany than there would be in America. Not wholly because of the uniterestedness of individuals or concerns in America, but on account of the status-quota as respecting the patents and the assigns and contracts as respecting same.
As to the manner in which this may be handled, the channels through which this contact has been made will furnish the better opportunity for the sale of same.
As to the manner or character of contract, this may be either outright or may be made as the product is put in use; for while the usage of same in this particular sphere in which same is contemplated at present offers a large field of service, in those that have to do with some manufacturings in America will offer the greater outlet for the usage of same - but the beginning, or the sale of same, will be easily completed in or through the European concern, than in America.
-
(Q) On what terms will it be sold and what down payment will be made? (A) Depend upon the character of the contract! It’s just been outlined and given for it! Just either do that or leave it alone!
-
(Q) When will it be sold? (A) When will he TRY to sell it?
-
(Q) Am I doing what is right to sell it, and if not what should I do? (A) Sell it.
-
(Q) Have I found the profession for which I am best adapted (Doctor of Neuropathy)? (A) This, will the body apply self in the correct manner, offers an excellent field for the body’s development, as well as a channel for service as would be hard to be met by the body in many another field, and in this location - while it has its drawbacks, as well as advantages - offers an excellent field for the body’s efforts. We would remain here.
-
(Q) Remain in Birmingham? (A) In Birmingham. Where else would it be if it’s here? … Ave., So., Birmingham.
-
That is all the questions. Any other advice for this body at this time?
-
Much might be given. Many changes would be necessary for that as might be BEST for the body. We are through for the present.

(4). On what terms will it be sold and what down payment will be made? (5). When will it be sold? (6). Am I doing what is right to sell it, and if not what should I do?
I hope these questions can be answered, and that there is not too many? I can be here at the office at any time you designate when Mr. Cayce is ready to give my reading.
