Accessories) This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of June, 1926, in accordance with request made by Mr. [195].

1. GC: You will have before you two rdgs., the first the weather forecast rdg. [195-29] given on 5/28/26, and the dream interpretation rdg. [195-30] given on 6/1/26, both of which were given for [195]. You will answer the questions that I will ask you regarding each of these.

2. EC: Now, we find here the illustration of how and through what channels the information as is given or received through readings may be seen, or how same may be classified. Here we find the illustration of how universal forces are magnified and shown in the material world. Also there may be seen how and under what ways the information that is obtained may relate to present, past or future. For, as is seen, these are as of this nature that is being shown at the present time.

3. First there must be taken into consideration how that the consciousness of an individual (that is, mental or material consciousness) is laid aside through the subjugation of that consciousness. [Work:EC.] Thus there is brought into the material plane that view or manifested force of the subcon- scious mind, which is [the subconscious mind] a portion, if you please, of the mind of the universal forces - that has been builded, made, or that has come into existence through an individual’s experience in the material or earth’s plane. As this mind is subjugated (the physical of an individual), and the subconscious comes into action through suggestion (for, as is seen, suggestion is another name for thought or idea), that thought or idea is being expressed then by one who is speaking to such a mind, or such a manifestation, directing then the conditions through which the trend of that experience is to travel, or to direct same in its travel, or in its giving the information through its experience with those ideas, those suggestions, as are made toward that mind. 4. Then, as is seen, there is the necessity of that mind so directing to be ABSOLUTELY negative, should the positive of the subconscious (which is ALTOGETHER positive) operate with same in giving the condition, or the instruction necessary concerning that desired to be known. Should the question, should the mind, should the person of such a directing mind be in that of a wishy-washy, willy-nilly, INCONCEIVABLE way of direction, the same may be expected of that information as is taken. For, remember, the directing of the suggestion may come back from the positive to the negative in that same direction from which it has been given. For, laws concerning reflex, as would be seen in light, in sound, in any of the other laws, must be carried out in that same way and manner. These being directed in a negative manner towards a positive answer will OBTAIN that as is desired. And that TO WHICH such mind is directed must be in that state of the negative, that the positive of the subconscious force, so directed, may obtain that information necessary to be returned, as it were, to those sources so directing. Or, as may be classified in the material: A positive and a negative are necessary to obtain any direct connection in any form. Or, as may be classified from the spiritual: The DESIRE of the mind must be toward that which is WISHED for (Get the difference between wish and desire!), that the information may be obtained through those same sources or channels. [GD’s note: This is referring to EC as the positive, GC as the negative, and the suggestion for obtaining the rdgs.]

5. Now, we have before us those visions, those interpretations, as given in readings for [195], one concerning forecast [195-29], one concerning dreams [195-30]. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) Relative to weather forecast [195-29], what effect will this weather condition have on the price of grain? What will be, and when will be, the high and low for December wheat? (A) The effect will be in that manner as has been outlined in the VARYING of the conditions. The low about September 20th, reaching the high about October 25th [GD’s note: Here the edge of the paper was gnawed by a mouse] for we have other forces as connected with same that will influence this condition, as well as that pertaining to the weather.

7. (Q) Regarding dream [195-30], is this the dream that has been referred to that I would have through which I might recoup my losses? (A) No. Rather as was outlined, that this dream, this vision - if the entity would so place self in that position for same - would be more convincing, if you please, to the mind, that such WOULD be given to the entity for the interpretation which would bring not only gain financially but gain spiritually and mentally. This then would be brought when the entity (following those lines, now, that have been given) so desires within self that self is put in that attunement with the experience of the inmost being, that same may be presented. When he desires it sufficiently, then, not just wishes for it, it will come.

8. (Q) How will this be recognized by the entity? (A) “For my spirit beareth witness with thy spirit.” [Rom.8.16.] If within self there is the knowledge it has been presented through that desire, then it shall be known.

9. (Q) Did Mary Norris act of her own volition in her action against me, or was she influenced by Mrs. Hancock Banning, or Mrs. Sidney T. Wailes, or both? (A) As given, she was influenced by others, and in the thirteenth year there would come those conditions which would reconcile these, and these differences would be made aright, and the entity, Mrs. Norris, would go about to make such amends for the conditions as will be possible at that time, see? See, there are many conditions concerning this that have arisen, that the entity has reviewed at this time, that are not set forth in this; and these influences concerning the many differences, as are shown in this, show that much injustice has been done [195]. Much injustice has also been done Mrs. Norris. And this correction would come in the thirteenth year from the happening as seen in vision, UNLESS all concerned should, with that real desire to correct an error, bring about other conditions, see? Then it would come in a less period.

10. We are through for the present.

R1. 6/8/26 EC’s letter: “Gertrude asked me to please say to you not to think that she didn’t want to take the rdgs. [195-29 and 195-30] or ask the questions, but she was ‘through-ed’ before she had the opportunity to ask anything. Today, apparently, something extra was given [195-31]. I don’t know what it`s all about. I’d like to know just what you make of it.”

R2. 6/12/26 He wrote: “Thanks for the additional rdg. [195-31] on the weather and the dream. The lecture at the start is very interesting. I can almost get it all and it says the desire of the mind must be toward that which is wished for. It is speaking of the directing mind, Mrs. Cayce’s in this instance. The negative mind is the one that does not think out a solution but merely as it suggests keeps centered on the desire wished for. It has given Mrs. Cayce more work.”

R3. 7/18/26 He wrote: “Am trying to save some money so that when the opportunity arrives - in which I will benefit - as given in the dream interpretations - I will have a little money to finance matters.”

R4. 7/27/26 He wrote: “Some months ago I had a rdg. made by you on grain investments of mine. It was given at that time that December wheat would reach its low quotation about Sept. 20th and its high quotation on about or following Oct. 25th [195-31, Par. 6-A]. Since that time [6/8/26] December wheat futures have advanced from a low of 133 to about 150. I was wondering if there has been a change of conditions and if you have a short rdg. sometime [for someone else] and can include a few questions along with it for me you could see what would be given.

“Has there been any change that will change dates of December highs and lows? What dates appear to be high and low quotations? Do same dates apply to quotations on December corn; if not, when high and low dates for December corn?

“Would like to make back some of my big losses.

“Had a dream the other morning but could not remember it. Also had another short one - which I could interpret. Hope to get that one, which will advise me how to recoup losses, etc.

“Everything running along fairly well - hope to be able to leave here the latter part of August - in about four weeks - at which time I’ll be able (I hope) to have a rest and not be rushed on some business appointment.”

R5. 8/2/26 He wrote: “Haven’t had any dream as yet but as the previous rdg. stated it would come and when it arrived (or whatever a dream does) I’ll know that it is the one already spoken of. Maybe I’ll have the dream at Va.Beach.”

R6. 8/14/26 He wrote: “Had a dream - have written it down, but it is not the one. May have another one or two and will get them all in one rdg.”

R7. 8/27/26 He obtained 195-32 on weather forecast affecting wheat and corn.
