This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 27th day of September, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1956], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Tennessee.
-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
Now as we find, conditions show improvement.
-
However, there are still some inflammatory forces, as through the bronchi and larynx, that - with the great strain - tend to make for a bit of leakage at times.
-
So, with the least tendency for acidity there arises greater disturbance through the phlegms created.
-
We would keep those administrations that have been indicated, - not quite so often, but at least for another four to six weeks.
-
And as an expectorant, as well as an antiseptic and purifier for the pulmonary forces, - as the circulatory forces through the bronchi, lungs, larynx and stomach, - we would combine these ingredients, in this way and manner:
-
To 2 ounces of Distilled Water add 2 ounces of Pure Honey. Let this come almost to a boil. Skim off the impurity as may arise.
-
Then add this to 6 ounces of Pure Apple Brandy.
-
Then add:
Syrup of Horehound…1/2 ounce, Tincture of Stillingia…1/4 ounce.
Shake the solution well before the dosage is taken, and do not take by merely pouring or taking from the bottle, but measure in a spoon; taking a teaspoonful of morning before any meal is taken, and a teaspoonful in the evening when ready to retire.
-
Be careful of the diet, that there is not too much of the foods that are acid-producing, - that is, as milk in coffee; as the combination of cereals and citrus fruits at the same meal; or two great a quantity of potatoes, - and never white potatoes at the same meal with white bread.
-
Doing these, we will find conditions will continue to improve.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Why do pains continue under or between shoulders and in small of back? (A) As indicated, from the circulation and disturbance through that portion. Keep up those applications suggested, adding these as we have indicated here.
-
We are through with this Reading.
