This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of June, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1956], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:45 to 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Tenn.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

3. As we find, there has been some laxness in keeping those balances in the nervous system and the blood supply; and a strain - after being overheated - has brought a breaking of the cellular force and a hemorrhage in part of the throat and bronchi.

4. We would prepare a spray immediately for the throat, in this way and manner:

5. To 1/2 ounce of Distilled Water add, in the order named:

Pure Grain Alcohol…50 drops, Oil of Eucalyptol…20 drops, Compound Tincture of Benzoin…40 drops.

6. Use this as a spray for the throat. If particles of this are swallowed, well.

7. Of course, this spray will be used once or twice a day, even after the general conditions have disappeared.

8. Then, keep up those precautions and those applications which were first given.

9. Have an adjustment for that tautness which exists in the 3rd and 4th dorsal; not more than two or three such treatments should be necessary.

10. Keep quiet for a day; and then we should be all correct.

11. DO NOT become too much alarmed. Be consistent and persistent with the suggestions given.

12. KEEP the inhalant of the Apple Brandy in the Keg. This we would prepare and inhale at least twice daily. Use a pint or a quart or a quart and a half or half a gallon of Brandy, dependent upon the size of the Keg; and prepare so that the fumes may be inhaled into the throat and lungs.

13. We would use beef juice as a stimulation; also liver and fowl; NOT other meats - that is, hog meats or the like.

14. We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I am writing you in regards about a check reading: please answer every question if possible. You can refer back to old readings if you wish to check on what MY troubles were. Question #1 How is my BACK? do I have to watch my diet as close as I did at first? #2 How is my THROAT? #3 How is my HEART? How are my lungs? I am not having any trouble, but there is nothing like checking on yourself once in a while just to see if everything is O.K. You write me the day and hour that you can give me a check reading, and I will write right back stating where I will be. I was over at Mr. & Mrs. McPherson’s last nite for dinner and they are getting along fine as far as I know. Grand-pa is feeling pretty good. Mrs. [2293] is thinking about sending for a check reading in the near future. [1956]
