This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 13th day of June, 1924, in accordance with request made by her sister, Miss [288].

[Edgar Cayce; Gladys Davis, Conductor & Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:30 A. M. Dayton Time. …, Alabama. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Now, we find this body very good throughout. There are conditions that are abnormal to some bodies but to this body are normal. There are conditions that cause distress to the body. These are normal for existing conditions in the body.

  2. There are some conditions that may be corrected and improved, that the body may be better in position to give those parts of self necessary for conditions in self, physically, and for that life that will be and is depending upon this body.

  3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body:

  4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find this at present under some strain from conditions being converted and diverted in the physical, for we have the formation of an increased circulation to those organs of the body where genital conditions are being created in the system, and these cause to all centers the condition that arises from the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexuses, and is reaching that stage now where nausea ensues from this diversion.

  5. In the system and in the supply as given, the body may correct conditions, that this may insure the better, and be easily given in the system, for self and the body.

  6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find this is at a tension, and there are some centers that need attention at present, that in the days to come the body (physically) may be better to give and withstand the conditions that are to ensue in the system. These centers we find in the lower end of the spine, in the second center of the coccyx and in the first lumbar. Hence the pain that comes to body as these portions are being exercised in formation in the system.

  7. IN THE ORGANS OF THE SYSTEM, these are very good. There are some local conditions in throat and in the nostril that at times give trouble. These will be corrected through correction of condition in the lumbar and coccyx region, for they are much of reflex conditions.

  8. The rest of the organs we find functioning under the conditions as exist in the system.

  9. In the organs of pelvis we find conception has taken place and that the developing of same is well in the system.

  10. Prepare the system then in this manner:

  11. In evening bathe the body well in tepid water, each evening, and with this bath rub the whole length of spine with cold water, but rub thoroughly with a very coarse towel or cloth, especially the region of the lower dorsal and lumbar and coccyx end of spine, that the system may obtain the better results in its developing from its stage, for we have more than one condition to be made normal, arising of developing of self and giving of self for developing of another, and with the change in system may produce that not beneficial unless the body is handled properly.

  12. After this rub, it would be well that small quantity of plain sulphur be blown in throat. Very small quantity in tonsil and upper portion of the throat. Rinse mouth afterward, only the quantity absorbed allowed to go in system.

  13. Keep the body, the abdomen, well braced, not allowing, with the conditions, the body to sag or give way in abdominal region. This would be better with brace then with other form of the assistance. Not with any very tight bandage, simply that with condition of spine in dorsal and lumbar region may not be allowed to give trouble to kidneys when the stages have been afterward developed, for we have this inclination in this system, we see.

  14. For the local portions of the body, in the region of the pubes and the entrance to vagina, keep well cleansed and free from the influences of the opposite sex, if the body would give the best after the next ten days. In this also we would use stupes of tepid water to relax and expand portions of the hips, and once each week we would use as this:

  15. To a gallon and a half of very hot water, drop two drams of the gum of Balsam of Myrrh in this, and steam or sit over the fumes from this, so exposed portions of the pelvis may receive steam from same. This strengthens the walls of the womb and cleanses the vagina in proper manner.

  16. Do this. We will find we will bring the better health, the better developing.

  17. Keep free from sudden nervous shocks. The greater trouble to fear is falls or jumps, removing or bearing down pains and the lowering of walls of abdomen, unless the blood supply comes in the condition, but with that as given we may and will correct this physical body, [199].

  18. The sex will be a girl.

  19. We are through.
