This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 4th day of March, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [2025], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 4:05 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Penna.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - we have had the body here before.

3. As we find, there are those anxieties owing to rather the localization of those conditions which have existed as a covering of the abdominal areas, in the organs or the pelvic cavities themselves.

4. This as we find is NOT of a fibroid nature, nor is it in that form which might be called a sarcoma nature - or of the consumptive nature. Rather it is of the fluor nature, as a swelling of the areas about the organs of pelvis.

5. Every other day, until there is little or no discharge, we would use an Atomidine douche; a teaspoonful of Atomidine to a quart of water, body-temperature, used ONLY in a Fountain Syringe Douche.

6. Then the rest of the suggestions as we have indicated we would keep, - as to the diet, as to the use of the artichoke, etc. Do not use too much of the artichoke, but keep this as an active force in the diet, not only for the pancreas and liver and kidneys but as a general stimulation for the adrenals.

9. (Q) Is this conditions malignant in character? (A) As we have indicated, it is rather of the fluor nature. If operative measures were attempted, it might become so - because of the conditions which exist in the blood stream.

But if there will be more of the beef juices and the liver extract, or broiled liver itself and not too much cooked, these will aid in BUILDING the body for better strength, better resistance, and less of this disturbance. For the body will adjust itself, if the douches are used as indicated to keep down inflammation and to act as an antiseptic from the harboring of the disturbances which arise naturally from drosses of the nature in the body.

10. (Q) What can I do to get rid of gas in my stomach, which often keeps me from eating, and occasionally causes vomiting? (A) As indicated, the artichoke will aid in this especially. Use enemas rather than other things, though at times it would be very well to take any effervescent salts that is not too much of a laxative. Upjohn’s Citrocarbonate would be well. Also the use of Charcoal Tablets as an absorbent through the system would be very well with these conditions, but vary these according to the severeness of the conditions, see?

11. (Q) As I cannot eat enough to keep my strength, is there anything I can do to increase my weight? (A) Keep those things that have been indicated, and these will GIVE the strength, - the liver and beef juice, not as a drink but as a medicine. And these - the beef juice and the liver extract - would be sipped, and not taken as a drink, but sipped very slowly. The broiled liver, of course, would be masticated very thoroughly.

Just hope the suggestions help at this time, trust the Artichokes arrived all O.K. Am sure you will find as suggested they will keep much better and crisper if you will keep them in the ground - they draw something from the ground that keeps them fresh. Don’t take too much of them but just about as much as the information suggested - and trust they help you as much as they have others they have been suggested for.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

Thank you so much for the artichokes which we have already tried and cooked according to instructions. It was good of you to send them - the others from La Crosae haven’t come yet.

Thank you, too, for the recheck reading which was reassuring. Am following the instructions and will let you know of my program.

Dear Mrs. [2025]

Thank you for yours of 14th. Know we are always glad to try and help and when the Artichokes give out if your others haven’t come let me know and will gladly send more. Have had so many calls for them have planted them myself and have plenty of them.

Just hope you will keep on the improve now and soon be feeling find and dandy. Expect to go to N.Y. for a few days about the 6 or 7th of Apr. If you or Mr. [2026] get over that way about that time would like to see you again.
