This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of April, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self through wife - Mrs. [1833], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, with suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions that may be asked:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2046]. This we have had before.
-
There are a great many changes in the physical forces of this body since we had same here before; though, to be sure, some of those tendencies existing in the present have to do with the effects created from those disturbances which existed in cellular force being so expanded as to produce hemorrhage.
-
As we find, in the present, these conditions in the activity through the aorta artery and the flow of blood between liver, heart and lungs, are the effects of those strains upon the system by the stimuli to the nerve energies of the heart’s activities. If these are left off too much it will produce a great strain upon the whole circulatory system and the creating of the balance between the flow through the central system and that to the superficial blood supply.
-
For this, the superficial, in the present tends to be at variance - or slow. Thus the unbalanced pressure that is experienced through varied portions of the circulatory system.
-
This, as we find, will require that there be precautions that the stimuli for draining blood from the heart, or from the expanding of the flow between lungs AND heart, be not OVERDONE; yet kept at an equal balance as much as practical.
-
To attempt to shield self too greatly through the sympathetic system, or the activities of the physical body, will - through the impulses OF the superficial circulation work against the better condition of the body. But to overtax same will assuredly be as detrimental, for this would produce a slowing up of the coordination of circulation in the artery AND the return in the veins.
-
Thus this, as the use of stimulation, should be kept near normal.
-
As we find, an aid to the body functioning is to add TO the system small quantities - occasionally - of iodine, in the form of Atomidine (which is atomic iodine). Let this be the nature of stimulation, for in its activity it will be more of a unification of the stimulation to the superficial and the deeper circulation - by the stimulating to the glandular force of the body-function itself.
-
We would take one drop of Atomidine in water of morning before the meal is taken, each morning for five days. Leave off five days, then take again five days. Repeat this procedure for some three to five times.
-
And then take those tests as to the expansion through the flow from heart AND to the liver and lungs. Thus unless there has been other usages, or too great a stimulation of other natures - we will see improvements for the body.
-
Keep normal activity.
-
DO have good eliminations. Do keep down the colon accumulations, by the occasional hydrotherapy with a GOOD cleansing of the colon, - this once a month, or not so often, or oftener, dependent upon the variation in the pressure.
-
These will bring better conditions for this body, [2046].
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What about the diet? (A) Keep a good, normal diet; that very well balanced especially with whole grain, or the reinforced foods. But do not take concentrated vitamins separately.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 4/7/42 Wife’s ltr.: “The reading came yesterday and I got the Atomidine at once and we started this morning on the regime. It all makes sense and, to me at least, it is encouraging. I can’t tell you how grateful we are to you and Dr. [2046] will write you himself. We were not quite clear about some of the reading, such as the ‘superficial circulation’ but maybe it will all straighten out.”
R2. 4/9/42 Dr. [2046]‘s ltr.: “Thank you very much for your last reading of this carcass. It confirmed our check up on it completely.”
R3. 6/26/42 Wife’s letter: “Dr. [2046] had a much better report last time he went to see Dr. Pardee and he actually looks better. We have followed the treatment faithfully with the exception of the colon irrigations which he says are unnecessary. I cannot tell you how grateful we are to you and sometime later on I would like to get a ‘check’ reading.”
R4. 12/19/42 Wife’s letter: “Dr. [2046] is better but can’t walk very much. He kept up your treatments for some time.”
R5. 3/18/43 See Dr. [2046]‘s report, favorable, on EC’s reading for his patient, Mrs. […].
R6. 12/20/47 Dr. [2046] requested EC data for arthritis patients.
R7. 2/11/50 E.C.F. mailing returned marked DECEASED.

B2. 3/24/42 Letter from wife, [1833]: “This morning Dr. [2046] broke the news to me he has an angina pectoris. He had X-rays taken which showed a narrowing of a small artery leading to the heart. That is all I know because I was too stunned to think clearly. When I did my first thought was to write you. I cannot possibly at this time send you a check for a Physical Reading because we are in too tight a spot at present. However, I assure you it will be sent at the earliest date possible. Can you do this for me? We both feel such calm and confidence in you, that I am sure it would help. I hope this is not too much to ask, also that you will guard this knowledge with the greatest confidence, as NO ONE must know of his condition - not even Mrs. [1602] (whom I saw today for the first time in many months). Hope you are well?”
B3. 3/31/42 “Your letter brought a ray of hope to both of us. Dr. [2046] was really very much pleased and is clinging to you as his only hope. It’s pretty tough for a doctor to know his own condition, and to have to accept the medical verdict. We both know the seriousness and the ever present threat, so are looking to you with faith and trust. Dr. [2046] will be here in our apartment (16th floor) all afternoon Friday April 3rd, and he knows what to do between the hours of 3:30 - 4:30. If there is any change in plans, we will wire you. God bless you and untold thanks for your help.”
