Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time.
-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2084]; this we have had before.
-
As we find, in many ways there is a real improvement with the body.
-
What causes, and what should be done to correct; Irritation, small underskin bumps resembling chillblains, on hands and feet, that itch and burn; causing hands to become very tender until it is painful to use them?
-
That there occurs occasionally the upsetting conditions through the whole of the system may be expected. For, these are the regular series of CYCLE changes that come about. When such occur, have an extra two or three treatments by the one making the adjustments for the body.
-
And be a little more precautious about the diets. And make self be a little more active. Not violent exercise, but a little more active in the open, and especially of associations with others in some form of physical entertainment.
-
How is her general condition?
-
Should any change be made in her treatments or dosage, or any change in timing of either? (By dosage I refer to Watermelon Seed Tea, Atomidine and Artichokes)
-
And we will find these will work well for the body.
-
Are her present treatments being carried out properly?
-
Ready for questions.
-
Should there be any change in diet?
-
(Q) What causes recent pains at times in back and left side; also coldness of hands and feet, always the left ones first? (A) As indicated, this is a period, or has been a period, of cycle changes; that is, the organs that have been involved here - as the kidneys, as the bladder, as that circulation between the liver and kidneys is just adjusting itself to the new impulses through the natural development of body and the series or periods that come naturally with changes in the developing of the body-forces. And these give rise to this character of disturbance.
If there is given the extra two or three of the adjustments AND the altering or changing of the environs for the mental activities of body, physically and mentally, these will disappear.
Do that.
-
Should her rest be disturbed at night to relieve her bladder?
-
(Q) Is there any significance to the fact that the left side is affected first? (A) No; this is only the general routine of cycle changes, see?
-
What causes the left ankle to pain severely when for any reason it is bent, and what should be done for it?
-
(Q) What is the tender spot on the lower left area of the back, and what should be done to correct it? (A) This, as indicated, is one of the many effects of a series of changes naturally wrought by those cycle changes.
Do as has been indicated, and we will bring better conditions.
- We are through with this Reading.

[Other questions submitted which did not get asked:
-
Is anything wrong which causes her hands recently to develop a distinct brownish color, although it could not have been caused yet by the sun. What should be done for it?
-
What should be done to correct the outbreaking of bumps on back, at times painful and unsightly?
-
What is best to prevent or at least to relieve attacks of poison ivy, which she is subject to?]

Dear Mr. Cayce:
It has been some time since I have written to you. I have been so busy contributing, in the small way open to me, towards ending this terrible war that I have had little time for writing. I have, however, followed the various bulletins of the Association with interest.
I am writing now to ask for a check reading for our daughter [2084]. She has been in very good health and has been taking her treatments regularly and, for a child, following her diet quite well. Recently she has complained increasingly of a rather severe pain in her side, as was the case a year or so back and which cleared up under treatment. We should like a check reading to clear that up and to check on any possible changes in her treatment, diet, etc. If you will kindly set a date for us, we will forward the specific questions in connection with the reading.
I know that I owe some amount to the Association and am not certain just how much. My check for $20 is enclosed and I would greatly appreciate and advise of what I may owe after credit for the enclosed check. Any balance I shall forward together with my check to cover the requested reading.
When do you expect to be in or around New York again? We missed seeing you in the Spring and would so enjoy seeing you. We trust that this finds you and your family in the best of health and that your son is finding the army interesting. Shall look forward to hearing from you and receiving a date for [2084] reading. Our very best regards,
Sincerely, [2841]

Dear Mr. [2841]
Yours of the third was here when I came back from New York. I was there for a talk on the evening of November 9. I don’t know whether you got the notice or not. We certainly had a crowd when we were there. I am sorry not to have seen you. Am making the appointment for [2084] for the afternoon of December 6, 3:30 to 4:30 EWT, a week from next Monday. You are rather fortunate to find even a piece of a period open these days, for we are more than a year in advance with these appointments. Be sure to let us have the questions and let us hope that we may be able to help.
As for any difference, it would be almost impossible. We are starting to get to work on the books, and maybe some day we will get around to sending you a notice, but don’t worry about it.
Hope that you and Mrs. [2678] are very fine, and with all good wishes to you both, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce [EC/vw]

Dear Mr. Cayce:
The appointment as set for [2084]‘s reading is entirely satisfactory. We are so thankful that a time could be found.
I cannot help but worry at the way you are being rushed. It is natural that it should happen but I sincerely hope the strain will not hurt you.
Questions in connection with the reading are enclosed and I also enclose my check in the amount of $10.-
We are terribly disappointed to have missed seeing you when you were in New York. Somehow in the overcrowded mails our notice evidently went astray. We did not know you were up this way or most certainly would have been on hand to see you and hear you.
We hope that the drive for funds for the Association is progressing satisfactorily. My regret is that I cannot at this time participate as I should like to. If I were given the good fortune of being able to, there is nothing I should more enthusiastically support.
We are so TERRIBLY sorry to have missed seeing you and we do hope our notice will reach us when you come up this way next time. Our sincere best regards to you and your family.
Cordially, [2841]
QUESTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH PHYSICAL READING - [2084]
What is the significance of the pains that have been felt in her right side and what should be done about it?
How is her general condition and does it show continued improvement?
Treatment has continued unchanged for some months. Should there be any change in treatment or in dosage of Atomidine, Artichokes or Watermelon Seed Tea, or any change in timing?
Should the same general diet be continued?
Recent menstrual periods have been late, the most recent extremely so. What may be done for this?
Is her intestinal and kidney elimination satisfactory? Does she get enough liquids?
She has recently had the opportunity to ride horseback. Is this beneficial to her?
Frequently her left foot and lower leg will be very cold when the other leg is warm. Rubbing vigorously warms it up. Should anything be done to correct this?
Should all meat other than fish and fowl still be avoided?
On cold mornings, as a hot drink, would tea or coffee be harmful to her system?
Is her weight out of line? Is anxious to lose weight but is always hungry.
Is anything being neglected pertaining to her health and welfare?

Mr. [2841] .., Conn.
Dear Mr. [2841]
I have yours of the 29th, enclosing questions for [2084]‘s reading. Somehow I seem to have lost track of the date that was given you. Will you let me know just what date that I made this appointment? I don’t want to get this mixed-up. I know we are so far ahead and we do sometimes make a mistake and get them all messed up. I hope the little delay is not going to be too bad for [2084]. Let me hear about this right away and also tell me where she will be the time of the reading. I take it for granted she will be at the regular place, but we had better be sure.
Yes, I wonder myself at times, if I am trying to do too much, but if I ever begin to feel sorry for myself, I will not be any good for anyone else or myself.
Thanking you a lot, and hoping that we will hear from you right away, and with every good wish to you and Mrs. [2678] I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce [EC/vw]
