GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Back again! Yes, we have the body here, [2084]; this we have had before.
-
There are changes in the body since last we had same here but these, as we find, unless neglected are not necessarily something to be overanxious about.
-
There is the lack of proper eliminations as related to the periods, which have begun since information has been given through the various periods. But these should be given particular attention by he osteopathic corrections, not to upset the body, to be sure; for the secretions from the ovaries, the eliminations which disturb the body, very much upsets the mental attitude of the body at such times. It becomes irritable and cross, also causes itching and a rash over various portions of the body.
-
Cut down on the amount of sweets taken, not even using sugar on fruits or on cereals or things of that nature.
-
Do add to the body Jerusalem artichoke, about once a week. This should be cooked in Patapar paper. Reserve or preserve all of the juices which cook from same and mix with the pulp as it is prepared. Once a week should be sufficient. Season with a little butter and a little salt and pepper.
-
Do use only the health salt or kelp salt or deep sea salt. All of these are of the same characters. But they are better than just that which has been purified, for the general health of many and this body in particular.
-
The osteopathic adjustments are not necessary more than once a week and these should come before the periods. For these are upsetting.
-
The activities of the body in the open and especially that having to do with outdoor games, tennis, croquet, riding (bicycle or horseback), all of these would be well for this body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes nausea especially after meals? (A) This upsetting of the general nervous system. When the osteopathic adjustments are given, the nerves or these centers that tend to empty the stomach itself need stimulation, as do the nerves which empty the ovaries and the organs of the pelvic. These are to be stimulated, while other centers, as in the head, the face, the lower portion of the stomach itself, or the activity of liver, pancreas, spleen should be as relaxing, the others stimulating for activity.
-
(Q) What causes sharp pain in right side in area of appendix? (A) This is in the ovarian area and this only comes close to, just before or after the periods.
-
(Q) What is the cause of bloated abdomen? (A) As has been indicated, all of these are the same character of disturbance. Follow through with these activities as well as the treatments and the use of those which will make for actions with pancreas, spleen in [and] the digestive system.
-
(Q) What foods would be best for her when she comes home from school so hungry? (A) Whole grain cereals if not too much sugar is used. Put in a little honey instead.
-
(Q) Since she takes on weight so easily, what foods would be best in her diet? (A) Drink grape juice. This will keep down the weight. Take two ounces of grape juice (such as Welch’s) and one ounce of plain water, half an hour before each meal is taken and just before retiring of night.
-
(Q) Would change of climate be beneficial? (A) Change of scene, change of activities would be very well for the body but only for a time.
-
(Q) What location? (A) Wherever the body chooses but close to activities of seashore would be well. Columbia, South Carolina; Savannah; Virginia Beach, the mountains. Any of these would be well for the body.
-
(Q) What cause her feet to become cold, especially when she is active? (A) It is poor circulation. This is why the type of activity is suggested such as tennis, croquet, bicycle and horseback riding. These make especially for activities through the areas where the disturbances are part of the condition.
Do as has been outlined and we will make better conditions for the body.
- We are through with this reading.

Dear Mr. Cayce:
Thank you for [2084]‘s recent health reading. It was very interesting and I know will be helpful. We have just one question. In paragraph 2 of page 2 it states - “The osteopathic adjustments are not necessary more than once a week and these should come before the periods, for these are upsetting.”
I wonder if the stenographic notes might be rechecked to see if the foregoing might not be a typographical error which should read once a month, instead of once a week. The question arises due to the fact that her treatments have been once every TWO weeks and the Reading, as typed, says “not necessary more than once a week.” Moreover the Reading says “and these should come before the periods” which would indicate once a month. I should be most appreciative if this can be cleared up for certain.
I trust this finds you in good health and I do hope we may have the pleasure of seeing and hearing you before long.
Most sincerely, [2841]

Mr. [2841] …, Connecticut
Dear Mr. [2841]
Thanks a lot for yours of the 1st.
Yes, I am sure you have the correct interpretation of what was meant, and the stenographic notes were doubtless in error. Once a month is what would be indicated and that is implied from just when this is to be taken. I am sure that this will work out much better for [2084].
Thanks a lot. I do hope that you will all get along fine and I wish you could come down to the Congress, but I expect traveling is almost prohibited just now.
Give our regards to Mrs. [[2678] and [2084]]. With every good wish, I am Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC/wi

Dear Mr. [2841]
I have yours of the 14th, and note what you have to say about moving from … We have changed the address, and I hope there will be no break in your receiving the little data that we are able to send out from time to time.
I hardly know what to say to you about the requested reading for your sister-in-law, [[2587]‘s mother], for I have not been able to get any readings at all for the last three or four weeks, and am not even making appointments as yet, until I cam get myself in better shape, but just as soon as we can, I will try to work this in somewhere for you. This is the best I can say, right now.
I certainly am sorry that I can’t do it for you, but don’t let me lose track of it, and I hope that we can do something real soon.
With every good wish, and asking to be remembered to Mrs. [2678] and the young lady,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:gp

Mrs. [2678] …, Delaware
Dear Miss Davis,
I have thought so often of Mr. Cayce and his wonderful work and no one knows how we have missed him and the help he was to us.
I am writing now to ask you if there has been anyone to carry on Mr. Cayce’s work in regards to giving readings. I remember he said that someone would make himself known. We have been as such a loss, feeling that some change may be necessary in [2084]‘s treatment. She improved so wonderfully when we followed the advice in the readings and the advice given was changed from time to time.
About at Christmas time [2084] had what apparently was the grippe. So many have had it this year and she was ill for three weeks. She apparently was over that…but has now been in bed for two weeks. Her main trouble is a low fever that comes each day. She gets very depressed and nothing I can say or do helps in the least. I had had a fear in the back of head that this may be an old trouble flaring up and I do feel it such a loss without Mr. Cayce to turn to. I know many others must feel the same. [2084]‘s last urinalysis was not alarming for which I was thankful, but this constant fever does not seem, and of course, is not right.
I would appreciate it ever so much if you could let us have any information on the subject and especially if you know of anyone who can help us.
I hope that you are well and now that we are a little closer to Virginia Beach, I hope that we can come there sometime.
We would like very much to have any bulletins that are sent out. Please let us know what this would be. I’m afraid that due to overwork and a million and one things we have possibly left some things unattended to.
R5. 2/5/46 HLC’s ltr. to [2841]:
Mrs. [2841] …, Del.
Dear Mrs. [2841]:
Miss Davis gave me your letter of February 1. We were glad to hear from you again.
At the present time we are unable to recommend anyone who can give readings as my father did. Yes, we think too that this will come in time, but there is a big job of studying the thousands of records which he left and getting out the information which may be helpful to an even greater number than he was able to help personally.
Under separate cover, I am sending you some information regarding the Association’s work. We will welcome you as an Active Member. I believe you will enjoy helping others receive the information contained in the readings, as well as keeping in touch with the program as a whole. May I call your attention to the January Bulletin which contains a brief outline of the plans for handling the physical readings.
It is possible that you might be interested in taking your daughter to one of the members of the Advisory Board of Physicians who will be in touch with the Association and will follow suggestions given in the readings. Dr. Henry George [Henry George III, D.O.] in Willington, Del., would be glad to go over your daughter’s readings and give you advice in following out further treatments. He has had excellent results in handling a number of cases for us.
We will look forward to hearing from you again.
Sincerely, [signed] Hugh Lynn Cayce

Mr. Hugh Lynn Cayce Assn. for Research & Enlightenment Virginia Beach, Virginia
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Since moving here from Connecticut in 1945 we have gone to Dr. Henry George, at the suggestion of the Association, for treatments for our daughter [2084]. He has been very cooperative in following the information in former readings made by your good father.
Our daughter is getting married around the end of this year (makes me begin to feel rather old!) and will be in …, Florida for at least a number of months. The osteopathic adjustments do her a great amount of good and she naturally wishes to continue with them. You know as well as I that, ignorance and prejudice being what they are with humans, it is often difficult to find a professional man who will not scoff or at best smile with patronizing amusement when one explains what has been accomplished through the readings.
I am therefore asking your advice with regard to an Osteopath as near as possible to … who knows of the work, believes in it and will follow the directions in the Readings which are most specific. In case you do not know the location of … it is on the East coast of Florida, twenty miles south of … and forty miles north of West Palm Beach.
Any help you may be able to give us will be greatly appreciated. I trust this finds all of you in the best of health.
Cordially yours, […]
R7. 12/5/47 HLC’s ltr. to Father:
Dear Mr. […]:
We were very glad to have your letter of November 28th and to learn that [2084] has been under the care of Dr. Henry George. He has been most cooperative in helping us develop our work of studying the records which Dad left.
I am sorry to say that we do not have an osteopath in or near …, Florida. However, I have two suggestions to make and you may be able to follow one or both of them.
Perhaps Dr. George will give you a letter of recommendation to someone in that immediate area, and you can begin educating them on the readings by first suggesting they read TIR, and then following through with copies of readings giving suggestions for specific treatments. I realize your problems in this matter.
We do have a Dr. D. A. Musselman located at 608 Pan American Bldg., Miami, Florida. This is some distance from … but it occurs to me that Dr. Musselman may know of someone in that area who could be of assistance to you. With a letter of introduction from Dr. George or Dr. Musselman, it might be easier to interest someone in following the readings’ suggestions.
I would suggest that you have [2084] write us and give us the names of any osteopaths in … or a nearby community. We will be glad to explain matters from this end by letter.
Mr. […] I am grateful of this opportunity to call your attention to the work we are doing now. Our records show that the last letter written to you was returned and this will account for your not having heard from us recently.
We are continuing the classification and study of the records and you will see from the literature which I am sending you under separate cover, that results are being obtained in many directions. I hope we may look forward to having you as an active member of the Association so we can keep in touch with you through the publications. The Diary Letter is our news sheet, while through the Weekly Readings Extracts and Bulletins, we keep members up-to-date on the work we are doing making practical use of the records in the readings.
We look forward to hearing from you again. Best regards from all here.
Sincerely, Hugh Lynn Cayce HLC/dm
