This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office 105th Street & Ocean, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of July, 1931, in accordance with request made by Dr. Elisha T. Kirk.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, as we find, the CONDITIONS are much improved in the physical forces of the body. While there is the accentuation in some respects of disorders as have troubled the body in the kidney area, these - with the stupes - are BEING eliminated, and would PROVE much BETTER for the body, that WITH the stupes, WITH the drainages set up, not too much activity of the body, but sufficient to keep a normal reaction would be much BETTER than would be with the exercising of the conditions under the knife; UNLESS the condition becomes acute by over strain, or by some other counter-irritant TO the kidneys, or the area themselves, these may be reduced in the way and manner as has been outlined. Unless the fever gets very high, or there is a sudden reduction in the blood COUNT, we would keep as has been outlined. Should there be indications that disintegration, or that the blood count is suddenly below normal, we would operate immediately! Otherwise, we would keep that as has been outlined. Do that.

3. (Q) Will he be able to go back to school in September? (A) Let’s attend to conditions now, and wait until September and see whether he goes to school or not! If the conditions are carried OUT, and the proper PRECAUTIONS are taken, the body should be near NORMAL by the 15th or 16th of September.

Q1b. Explain any variation. “Did not locate the lesion or describe it exactly.”

Q1c. Give technical diagnosis. “Kidney abscess.”

Q2. Were the suggestions for treatment in your opinion proper for this condition? “At least the outlined treatment relieved him for the time.”

Q3. For what period of time has the patient followed directions given in the Reading under your care? “About three months.”

Q4. What results have you observed? “Was much better. Pus was reduced from 86 cells per high power field to 4 or 5 per high power field.

“Patient discontinued treatment after three months and I have not seen him professionally since. This past year he has had the injured kidney removed.”
