This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of July, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [2116], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 10:45 to 10:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
As we find, conditions are very much improved from that as we have had here before.
-
All of the poisons from the toxic forces of the body have not been entirely removed, yet these show a great deal of improvement in this direction.
-
We would continue with those applications suggested, as to the hydrotherapy and massage; and at least one or more of the colonic irrigations. There is still indicated some toxic forces and mucous through the colon. The irrigations need not be given oftener than to remove this condition.
-
As we find, the general treatments as well as the colonics may gradually be taken farther and farther apart. The colonics should not be oftener than six weeks apart, and the massage and a general treatment once in ten days or the like should be sufficient.
-
This with the general reaction by the general activity, - that is, the exercises of not too strenuous a nature at the time of the treatments, - will also be well.
-
Keep the diets much in the same line as has been indicated.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Shall I continue with the inhalant as prescribed in my first Reading? (A) If there is the least disturbance in the nasal passages or the soft tissue, it would be well to continue this when needed. It will also keep down those tendencies to be affected by the dust, as well as the pollen of certain weeds or flowers that cause disturbance.
-
(Q) Shall I continue with taking the Ventriculin with Iron? (A) This, too, will depend upon the general appetite and strength. It may be left off for the time, and then begun again if found necessary.
-
(Q) Is there anything else I should do or not do? (A) As has been indicated, do these things; which have been removing the disturbances and will aid in creating the better balance in the system.
-
We are through with this Reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 6/28/41 Letter:
After your second Reading [2116-3] I continued with my treatments at Mr. Reilly’s and was just beginning to feel a big improvement when the first of this year I had to stop because of working nights and all the time on the reorganization of this Company. Now things are just beginning to slacken, so I hope to continue with Mr. Reilly shortly.
My greetings to you and very best wishes for the exceptionally fine work you are doing.
Gratefully and sincerely, [2116]

Mr. Edgar Cayce Virginia Beach Virginia
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Enclosed please find check of Ten Dollars (
10.00) on account of the20.00 due the Association for the Life Reading you gave me on April 3rd, 1940.I wonder if you will help me again? On June 8th I finished the treatments with H. J. Reilly as recommended in my Physical Reading of February 25th, 1940. Mr. Reilly suggested that I ask you for a Check Physical Reading, but I have waited until after the Congress was over and also until I could pay something on what I owe the Association. We both of us think it would be helpful to know what the condition is now and to get any further recommendations.
Being in business, my only free time would be a Saturday afternoon or a Sunday morning, so if you will choose your time and let me know when it will be, I shall be at my home at … Street, New York City. Also, please let me know whether it is to be Eastern Standard Time or Daylight Saving Time.
If you are able to give me this Check Physical Reading, my understanding is that it will be
10.00, so that this amount plus the10.00 balance of the Life Reading still due will mean a total of $20.00 due to the Association, which I shall pay off as quickly as possible.Thank you for all your help in the past. It was a wonderful experience to have you with us in New York, and I am only sorry that I could not attend the Congress. However, I am eagerly looking forward to reports of it in the Monthly Bulletin.
Hoping to hear from you,
Sincerely and Gratefully yours, [2116]
B3. 7/3/40 Miss [2116]‘s ltr. to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
Thank you for your prompt reply to my letter. The time for the Check Physical Reading is all right with me - this Saturday morning, July the 6th, at 10:30 to 11:30 E.S.T. or 11:30 to 12:30 Daylight Savings Time (which is my time). I will add a postscript to this letter telling you where I will be at that time - my home or my office.
I am feeling much better, but inasmuch as the financial end of it is so difficult for me, I would like to know:
- Shall I continue with the Reilly treatments? If so, Mr. H. J. Reilly would like to know -
(a) Should any exercise be given? (b) How often should colonic irrigations be given? (c) Would you advise a general routine of exercises, hydrotherapy and massage, or just hydrotherapy and massage?
Are any of my difficulties due to the “change of life”?
Shall I continue with the inhalant as prescribed in my Physical Reading?
Shall I continue with taking the Ventriculin with Iron, as also prescribed in my Physical Reading?
Is there anything else I should do or not do? In other words, is there a change in the body now?
Sincerely & Gratefully, [2116]
P.S. I shall be at my home:- … St., N.Y.C.
