This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th St. & Ocean, Va. Beach, Va., this 7th day of January, 1932, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [2138], Active Member.

Time of Reading 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will have before you the bodies and enquiring minds of [2138] & [2137] who are at 531 Boal St., Cincinnati, Ohio. You will answer the questions which they have submitted concerning their future welfare, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the bodies, the enquiring minds, [2138] & [2137]. These we have had before.

3. In considering that as has come to pass, as compared with that as has been given respecting the welfare and the abilities of each in their respective fields of endeavor, place, time, environment, and all considerations - these, as have been seen, have not only that element of the experience of the fact being apparent materially, but also of the physical element of individuals’ application of will as respecting their own development, and also that as enters, or entered, as became what may have been seen to have been a replica of an activity on the part of self in another experience.

4. These, then, with their own lessons, are to be considered rather as that which may yet be used as lessons or stepping stones for possibilities for the activities that would bring to each their own lessons, and again the developments for those things and conditions TO which, THROUGH which, each may make that as will bring about a development in the inner man, or body.

5. As has been GIVEN, we would find that the land as given would be the better source for the entity to work in, for the expansion of the ideas and ideals of the body.

6. In meeting the needs of the PRESENT situation or conditions, we may find that there are locally - as well as in those of the surrounding country or territory - those opportunities where the activities as have been carried on by the body may be made to meet the emergencies and the needs of the individuals, until there may be the proper adjustments of that as is desired to be done by the bodies. These, as we find, may be found in Hamilton, or the surrounding territories, or those between there and the other towns - Middletown, Eastontown (?), or the like - see? Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Is it best that I, [2138], return to Virginia, or remain in Ohio and in what capacity shall I engage in the future? (A) As has been indicated, would be better for the present that in this vicinity, or in those vicinities about that as has been given, would be the better to carry on for the present - until there is an adjustment of self to the conditions.

8. (Q) In what work or capacity shall I engage? (A) That in which it HAS been engaged.

9. (Q) Please direct and advise where I, [2137], will find my life work. Give specific instructions regarding the preparation for this. (A) As has been outlined, should be in the west - and about that CHARACTER of work that HAS been indicated. As to how - then meet each emergency as it arises, and have either that one goal or one ideal in mind or - choose for self! WE have given that as WE find would make for the better contentment, the better development, the better success physically, mentally, financially. If the entity sees fit to climb up some other way, do that!

We have one regret that we cannot talk to you & get a better understanding - but no doubt here is a lesson in patience.

I have written Mrs. [5529] here in Cin. and will call to see her soon as convenient.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I received the membership card of which I am very proud, also your very interesting letter.

I’m sure your talk at the Monticello Hotel was very inspiring and helpful, as they always have been.

I will enclose stamps if you will please send us the subject on “Present World Conditions.”

I went to Dayton in regards to a position with Mr. Class [Class Institution - physiotherapists? Dayton, Ohio] but this has not materialized yet.

I am still interested in Virginia and anxious to see you all again.

[2137] has a class of small boys in the Sunday School, he is also active in the young people’s work, while I attend the Baptist church - Dr. Geistweit who gives us the messages there is a wonderful man, there were 1300 people at the evening service & many of the other churches are closed - no interest.

We are both very happy to know you are well again. Our good wishes and prayers are with you and the good work there in Va.

My mother has been very ill, but she is doing fine again - she is getting the dinner & is always happy when she is active - she is 82 years young & in a fine physical condition.

Dear Mrs. [2138]

Many thanks for yours of the 1st. You surely recognize the feeling of hope and buoyancy that it gives me for you to feel proud of your membership. We are only too glad to send you a copy of the lecture on Present World Conditions. We just hope that you will get something from it that you will be able to use from day to day. As many of the class have suggested, it makes us all realize our great responsibility.

I’m sure [2137] finds his class most interesting. That’s one of the things I feel quite often has been, I might say, the saving grace in my experience, trying to teach a Sunday School class.

Certainly hope you are able to get something to your liking, and get back into the work that has been so much to you, a channel that enables you to bring much help and comfort to many, as well as supplying to yourself the necessary outlet for your desires.

Please give my regards to your mother. I’m sure that she, as most of us, feels best when she is most active.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

We are sending a small contribution in appreciation of the wonderful information you have sent us thru the readings also our deep interest in the work at Virginia Beach.

The days, weeks pass so quickly. I spend most of my waking hours at the Class Institution and with my mother who has been very ill again and is making a rapid recovery at the age of eighty-three years. We place her - “Lovingly in the hands of the Father.”

Our thoughts and good wishes are with you always. May God send you His choicest blessings.
