This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of April, 1941, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [2345], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, W. Va.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2153].

3. Now as we find, there are periods when the conditions show improvements. Then there are periods when there is the inclination for the system to lapse again into greater and, at times, more violent convulsions - apparently.

4. However, these even in themselves indicate progress is being made.

5. As we have indicated oft, there needs to be created in those about the body, as well as in the body itself, the attitude more and more of creative helpfulness - in their relationships one to another as well as those to and with whom the individual entities are related in daily activity.

6. This is that attitude necessary to be created in the MIND, you see, and expressed in the actions.

7. Then as for those conditions of the physical nature, - that are the RESULT of the physical as well as mental attitudes that have been brought over, as well as conditions physically existent in the present:

8. We would not go back to the dependency too much upon sedatives. For, with these we are destroying the will - and the ability of the spiritual and mental forces to resist, or to meet itself, so as to make the proper correction.

9. We would continue every two weeks with having a week of the Castor Oil Packs again.

10. Also we would continue with the attempts, osteopathically, to break up those adhesions and lesions through the area from the liver to the caecum; as well as to make a more perfect coordination in the area from the lumbar, sacral and ileum plexus and the lumbar axis, even to the 1st and 2nd cervical area.

11. These treatments we would have not continuously, but have a rest period of one to two weeks from them, then have the same length of time for these mechanical (osteopathic) adjustments and stimulations to be made.

12. Then keep that prayerful mental and physical attitude as we have indicated.

13. Do that.

14. Ready for questions.

15. (Q) Should all other treatments be continued? (A) All others so far as the diets are concerned and those of a general nature, yes.

R1. 4/11/41 EC’s letter to [2345]: “Do hope that very soon now you will see much more definite change in [2153] for the better. I know don’t have to tell you what a problem such conditions are, yet I sincerely believe you are on the right track now and persistence and patience is what you have to deal with. Just yesterday was talking with a father whose boy is a bit older than [2153]. He had his first reading some 10 years ago (?), has battled right along - sometimes up sometimes down, yet now for nearly a year he has been free of the attacks, and has in the last month taken his place with his father in business, and what a happy man that Father is. So needs prayer and patience yet keeping close to the suggestions made.

“Hope you and Mrs. [2344] are fine. Glad to hear from you at any time, hope you are planning to come to the Beach this summer.”

R2. 4/17/41 Miss [2117]‘s letter [See 2153-5, Par. 18-A regarding [2117] acting as companion for [2153]:

“Wanted to ask you for sometime how [2153] is. Is she well or still under the same treatments? Have been with her a few times. Am very interested in the child as an individual and would love to see her stand on her own feet and stick up for her ideals. Though not in touch with her, I am always sending her a good health thought.”
