-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
As we find, conditions have gradually grown more serious. Of course, there cannot be interference with that being administered, or that will be the outcome as to the decision of those in charge of this condition.
-
But as we find, the nausea is being produced from lacerations in the stomach itself, - from superacidity, which has arisen from the combination of copper and other poisoning, as from aluminum.
-
The applications we would suggest would depend upon what is the general decision of those now in charge.
-
Consequently, it would be better to wait until the body is released from the hospital; that there may be given then - through this channel - the helpful suggestions for administrations.
-
Of course, the rest - and the washing of the stomach - will be helpful.
-
In the present, then, we would not interfere.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Was this poisoning caused from foods cooked in aluminum or copper utensils? (A) It was caused from pieces of copper being accidentally cooked in aluminum vessels with food.
-
We are through for the present.

R3. 5/10/40 Mrs. [623]‘s letter to EC:
Mr. Cayce
Dear Friends;
My house work is waiting on me, but I must write you.
We were all so pleased, excited, surprised & what not, over [2188]‘s reading.
Her sister just called and a night letter is on its way to you, to say she came home to-day.
The doctors have told her very little. Told her to eat as she had been in the Hospital - plenty of fruit juice & tomato juice, that her system needs alcalizing. But oh! my they just mixed these with her food there.
Very queer at home every thing was coming up then, the preparation for pictures - a chalky drink & her food has stayed down all the time at the Hospital including ice cream the thing that started this spell.
She has had chicken breast, fish puree vegetables, (toast & tomato juice) tea milk etc.
She tried to stay at home longer but the book keeper at the … plant (a Miss […]) kept calling the Dr. & [2188] had to mind the Dr. or go back to work. Group insurance at the plant is paying the bill etc.
Would love to come to the Congress but have heard nothing in that direction.
We have not had any announcement when the Congress is. Your letter stated 20 to 23 inclusive, is it MAY?
Back to Miss [2188], she has had such unusually black circles under her eyes for years.
Had stomach trouble seven years or more.
We hear a lot about chemical lacks in our systems these days & that the ground is depleted of them, there fore our food lacks them.
Am enjoying the lessons.
Love & Best Wishes Mrs. [623]

B1. 4/29/40 Mrs. [623]‘s letter: ”…This sick friend works in the office at the … plant. They took her gall bladder out about a year ago. Lately she is having severe pains in her stomach. She would like to get a Reading but the money is holding her back. She makes
20 a week, keeps herself and has to send money home to help her people in Ky. (Miss [...]). If you could give her a Rdg. for10 she would appreciate it very much. I told her we would pay it and she can take her time paying us. She is in bed today from a very severe attack last night; she is 34 yrs. old, too young to be so sick. She has Thurs. P.M. off from work and is at home in her room at … Ave., Dayton. Any other day she is at work at the … Co., … Ave., if she is able.”B2. 5/2/40 Mrs. [623]‘s letter: ”…She is still in bed, just a little better, but can keep very little on her stomach. I went to Dr. Shank and got a stomach powder I have taken; it affects the spastic muscles of the bowels, so food and gas move along better, as they should; helps to overcome the nausea. We hear Decholin is very good for this trouble, when there are NO GALL STONES, as the activity might cause a blockage. Questions on these two drugs would be interesting.”
B3. 5/3/40 Wire: ”…In bed and worse. Please give Reading as soon as possible. Send information and Reading to us. Reply night letter if necessary. Check and application follow.”
B4. 5/6/40 Wire: ”…In Miami Valley Hospital for observation. Reading Tuesday afternoon agreeable.”
