This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of May, 1940, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [2188], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through Mrs. [623].

Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

1. GD: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, there has been some aid by the rest and by the cleansings for the alimentary canal.

4. In the present, to relieve the tensions and to prevent the upsets which do arise at times now from the inflammation and cake caused in the mucous membranes of the pyloric portion of the stomach, and the concurrent disturbances which this produces with the pancreas and the liver in its activity in assimilation, -

5. We would apply hot Castor Oil Packs for at least two hours each day for three days.

6. On the evening of the third day of applying the Packs, take internally half a teacup of Olive Oil.

7. Then leave these off for about a period of five days.

8. And during that rest period let the diet consist mostly of grapes or pears.

9. Then we would have the general, thorough manipulations, osteopathically administered, as a relaxing, - rather than a stimulating.

10. Begin then with the Castor Oil Packs again, to break up the disturbances that have been produced in the lower portion of the duodenum. At this second series of the Packs, after the two hour application each day, the body should have a gentle kneading of the abdomen. And after the use of these for three days, THEN - rather than taking the Olive Oil - we would have a colonic irrigation.

11. And we would continue the colonics at least three to five days apart, for the first five to six, - then they may be taken farther apart.

12. Also, if necessary, the whole procedure may be repeated.

13. Then keep the general building diets, and occasionally have a general manipulation osteopathically administered.

14. These should bring the bettered conditions for this body.

15. We are through with this Reading.
