This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th Street & Ocean, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of September, 1931, in accordance with request made by Mrs. Anne Pope.

Time of Reading Rosehill School, 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Chester Heights, Pa. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: We have the body here, [2253] - this we have had before.

2. (Q) Is the Mayblossom Bitters to be continued? If so, what dosage? (A) We would continue same for the time being, at least until we have gained a more or a better control over the general nervous system of the body. This changed or altered in the manner in which it is combined will be of better application for the body, also. The dosage as we would give would be half a teaspoonful three times each day, preferably after meals.

3. (Q) Are the osteopathic treatments to be continued? (A) They should be, for the better coordination of the body.

4. (Q) Is there anything we can do to get her to stop wringing her hands? (A) Only applying those things that will alter the present nervous reactions in the system will change same. THIS body, would be well for the suggestions to be made under the influence of hypnosis, or auto-suggestion to the body as it sleeps. This must be made by someone in sympathy with the activities of the body, and THIS would relieve such stress on the general system.

5. (Q) Who would you suggest that could do this? (A) Someone that’s in sympathy, as has been given!

6. (Q) Is there anyone near present surroundings? (A) We don’t see ‘em! We are not even looking for ‘em! Do something for themselves, at least! We are through with these readings.

R2. 9/12/31 Mrs. Pope’s ltr. to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce,

Thank you so much for sending the readings so promptly and the battery for [2253]. I think she has improved noticeably and more so since she has had the battery although it has been used such a short time. I will enclose a check for the balance I owe you.

Will you thank Miss Davis for her nice letter and tell her that I did not want a copy of each reading for Dr. Kirk. I am sorry I did not mention it when I sent the questions. She had to do some of my thinking for me.

All three of her children [[5483], [2253] & [146]] are improving and we will be very interested to see how far they will go this next period.

Mrs. [959] wants to come up to see us if possible soon and we will be glad to talk over so many things with her.

Dear Mr. Cayce,-

For a long time I have been wanting to write to you but the rush still goes on and I do not seem to have time, I especially want to thank you for the Christmas Card which was much appreciated.

Of course I am still interested in you and your work. The children [[146] & [5483]] seem to improve but it is so slowly. We know that it is so whether we can see it or not.

I just signed my name and address on the application as that is all you wanted me to do I assume.

Dear Mrs. Pope:-

Many thanks for yours of recent date. We were very glad to have your form, indicating your interest in our undertaking. We are glad to welcome you among our membership.

The Association is to have its annual Congress between June 15th and July 1st, of the members. Won’t it be possible for you to make arrangements to be with us during that time? In fact, might it not be arranged so you could make sort of an outing for those in your charge? I merely put out that as a suggestion. If you think well of it, we would attempt to make some sort of arrangements for taking care of them for the short while you might be here.

I’m sure the improvement seems very slow. However, that there is ANY improvement must be very gratifying, if we do not become too impatient. We realize that each individual has to go through, or work out, their OWN shortcomings and afflictions, and we - as agents or ambassadors OF the divine

• merely assist wherever it is possible.

You must be kept quite busy. Know that we are always glad to hear from you. I understand from Mrs. [959] that you may bring [146] down sometime the early part of the Spring. If you do come this way, we would love very much to see and talk with you, if it is only for a few minutes.
