This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of August, 1942, in accordance with request made the by the self - Mrs. [2293], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Tennessee.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [2293], who seeks information, advice and guidance, as to her health, her mental and spiritual welfare. You will give the entity that needed at this time, answering the questions she submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [2293]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, in giving that as may be helpful to this entity at this time, many things, many conditions are to be taken into consideration.

4. There has come into the experience of the body that which has not only been a great hurt but a great disappointment, and the loss of confidence in individuals.

5. And this in a great measure is a contributing factor to the general nervous condition as well as upsetting the physical equilibrium of the body.

6. Then, in taking such into consideration, there must be established in the body-mind an ideal as of a spiritual nature.

7. To be sure, others have apparently had ideals and have fallen far short of living up to such ideals. Yet it behooves the entity to realize that ideals cannot be set in an individual or in material things, but - as indicated - must be founded in spiritual concept. For, whatever materializes into material action between individuals arises from the individual attempting to gratify a desire latent or manifested within. These, to be sure, are oft misconstrued in the experiences of individuals, and thus cause or bring about hurts, disappointments - as has been experienced.

8. Yet ye know in Whom and in what ye have believed. And as He was and is willing to forgive, so must the entity within self be willing and capable and desirous of forgiving, - even as the entity would be forgiven.

9. These, to be sure, become as blank walls when there is the consideration of personality. But this is not a consideration of personality, but rather that spirit which prompted, which tempted, which led those activities by others embracing same.

10. Then, to not forgive would be giving way to self in such a manner as to become even worse than those that in a moment of self-delusionment gave way in those ways that brought - or bring - this disturbance or unsettlement in the experience of this body.

11. As ye would that others would forgive you, even so must you forgive - if you would find that peace, that harmony within self. And thus may ye help those; not condoning, no - but not condemning either. For, to condemn is to become as a party to such. And with that measure ye condemn others, ye are guilty of that condemnation.

12. First, in health, then:

13. Have a thorough relaxing of the body by the mechanical (osteopathic) adjustments; with special reference to those areas from the 6th dorsal upward.

14. Keep in company with others as much as practical. Busy self with the giving of help, aid, to others; bringing hope, cheer and happiness in the experiences of others, and ye will find same in thyself.

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) Just what is the condition of my throat (If feels like a growth)? Is it caused from a nervous condition? (A) As has been indicated, it is more from the anxiety, the suppression of the hurt that has existed in the experience. The relaxing osteopathically should relieve this tension. Also a little electric application over the thyroid area and back of the neck, and the spine to the 6th dorsal, should relieve and remove this tension. We refer to the Violet Ray Hand Machine, using the back and the bulb applicator - about a minute over the throat and neck with the neck applicator, and then about two minutes with the bulb applicator over the rest of the areas indicated.

17. (Q) Owing to the circumstances which now exist, should I continue to associate with my old friends or try to gain new ones and give the old ones up? (A) No one may have so many friends as to afford to lose a single one. Keep the old friends AND make new ones, also.

18. (Q) Since the misunderstanding between my husband and me, are our friends shunning us, or is it my imagination? (A) Imagination; not that those who are the friends are shunning the body. Hence make the greater effort to be to all as you would like others to be to you if circumstances were reversed.

19. (Q) Any other advice as to my proper attitude and activity? (A) Study to show thyself approved unto the God and the purpose ye worship; rightly emphasizing those propositions in their proper relationships one to another. Condemn no one, lest ye yourself be condemned. Give that of love, if ye would find love. Show thyself friendly and lovely if ye would have that love bestowed upon thee that brings peace and contentment.

1 Why do I have so much dandruff? 2 What is causing my hair to turn gray so early in life? 3 Is there any thing that will bring the natural color back?

Guess you will be surprised to know Mr. [1956] is in the Army, he is at Keesler Field, Miss. He was drafted the 2nd of Oct. How are all your folks?
