This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of June, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [23], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Anna Gimbert.]

Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ky. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

  2. Now as we find, while there are disturbing conditions at times, especially at the Periods, gestation is being carried on in near to a normal way and manner.

  3. This then necessitates only that extra precautions be taken that close to the Periods there is not undue weariness, too long standing on the feet, or the inclination to lift or pull things.

  4. And be very careful in the manner and way the douches are taken AFTER the Periods, to prevent ANY disturbance or a greater hardship by the disturbances that would naturally arise to affect the kidneys - unless these precautions are taken.

  5. These should be, then, UNDER the direction of the one in charge of the body; and be carried on in the way as would be indicated.

  6. Then as we find, with the general precautions, these are very well.

  7. We would suggest that the body take Codiron as a tonic, but only once or twice a day. This would supply the elements and especially the vitamins necessary to build the body to better resistances. But it should be kept, or will be needed to be kept, for two, three to four months, and then GRADUALLY discontinued, see?

  8. Ready for questions.

  9. (Q) What corrections, if any, should I make in my diet? (A) As indicated, this is very well; only we would add the Codiron at the meal. This is cod liver oil and iron, with the vitamins A, B, C, D, E, F, in ways that they WILL make for better conditions through the system.

  10. (Q) Please advise regarding proper exercise during this pregnancy. (A) As just indicated, the regular exercises except of the character or nature described. Walking is the BEST exercise; and we don’t mean riding! Walking - it means walking with the FEET; this is the best exercise - and the warnings kept as indicated; not to lift, pull or the like, close to the Periods ESPECIALLY! Of course, not at any other time overdo it, but ESPECIALLY then.

Do not get too hot, too much of steam or any of those things about the body ESPECIALLY at those Periods.

Keep out of the night air too much - but walk a plenty!

  1. (Q) Is the regular recurrence of the menstrual period normal to this body, considering present conditions in the body? (A) The normal, considering the general conditions. Thence, as given, there must be those precautions as to the CHARACTER and manner of the douches after the Periods, you see; and these should be UNDER the direction of the physician in charge.

And let the choice of the physician for the full occurrence or full period be rather one in sympathy and in conjunction with the one who has made the corrections. Hence as we find this is very apt to be Haynes!

  1. (Q) Any further advice for me at this time? (A) Keep optimistic and prayerful, and with a song on the lips often, if you want the body to be cheerful!

  2. We are through with this Reading.
