This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of November, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self, through his daughter - […], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [2302]”s wife and daughter.]
Time of Reading 3:40 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia.
-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2302]; this we have had before.
-
While improvements are indicated in every way, and while these have not been as fast nor as far-reaching as might be hoped for, - still we would continue with those applications suggested.
-
Also we would have the thorough corrections osteopathically for the head, neck; making the adjustments that would allow the supply of physical and nerve nutriment to the eyes.
-
We would keep all of those activities that have been indicated; and we will yet see the improvements AND some vision, beginning as light, and some pains first; then a scattering of those conditions that hinder the vision.
-
Keep, then, all of those things as suggested.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What is delaying the return of sight, as promised in the last reading? (A) The lack of the system’s ability to assimilate and absorb that film which gives obstruction, so as to allow the supply of nerve activity to the optic force.
Hence the manner of distributing energies, as indicated, through the osteopathic adjustments; as well as the continued supplying of energies. As there has not been the distribution of forces, this still hinders.
-
(Q) Is there anything his family can do to give him more hope? (A) The hope, of course, must be created within. Thus the ability of the family about the body is merely to keep up the courage, and the faith and hope in those administrations being made.
-
(Q) Any spiritual advice? (A) Keep that purpose in the healing forces. As all healing must come from the divine, then the faith, the hope, the purpose must be in that divine presence that maketh ALL things possible.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 1/30/42 [2302]‘s wife’s letter: “He has improved quite a lot since we last saw you. He has been taking the osteopathic treatments since the middle of November. We are going to Dr. Richardson. There has been no return of vision. We are keeping up all of the treatments as directed. We are hoping and Praying he may see.
“We received your letter [1/8/42 EC’s letter mailed to A.R.E. members re prayer for divine guidance. See it filed as 1/8/42 Reports to 281-59.] and the family will be glad to devote a few minutes each day for divine guidance.”
R2. GD’s notes re 5/12/42 phone request for 2302-5 by [2302]‘s daughter: With the rationing of gas she feels that it’s best for them not to come for the reading. Mr. [2302] has had 43 osteopathic treatments, and is SO MUCH better in every way except his vision. He complained recently of the violet ray stinging his eyes when used full strength, so they had to turn it to about a fourth of its strength; felt possibly that was a sign of vision being awakened. They know he is improved, and want to continue everything if it is necessary, but thought probably once a week or less would be enough for osteopathic treatments - however, wanted the reading to say so first. Just to take him to the doctor’s office twice a week will use up about all the gas allowed, but if the reading says they are necessary she will continue taking him.
