Operator, Protestant) This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of September, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [243], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Miss [243] and Mr. [304].]

Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [243], present in this room, who seeks guidance as to her mental, material and spiritual well-being. You will give her any advice or counsel that will be helpful at this time; answering the questions which she submits, as I ask them.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [243], present in this room; those conditions in the mental, the material, the spiritual aspects that confront the body at this time.

  3. In considering the outlook, and that which may be accomplished by the body in the material, the mental and the spiritual aspects of the body, it is apparent that changes in the environs, in the associations, in the relations with the body, are not only necessary but “are to be” in the experience of the body.

  4. Then, in choosing that which we find would be the correct move for the body, all conditions of every nature taken into consideration, in the present the body-physical needs some relaxation and rest; and THIS, as we find, would be the better condition to be accomplished in the present. And, while there is being the recuperations and relaxations, there should be those activities in the mental associations, through the material activities of self, to bring about the opening of those channels which would be the better relationships to be established in the middle or latter portion of the coming month.

  5. Ready for questions.

  6. (Q) In conditions of adversity at the present time, what is the best move for me to make? (A) This has just been given.

  7. (Q) Is there any possible way for me to stay at Virginia Beach, by which I can maintain myself? (A) In the present situations and general economic conditions we find little opportunity for such, as to be the better relationships or conditions for the body itself.

  8. (Q) Is it best that I go to …, Tenn. with my sister [482]? (A) For the present.

  9. (Q) Shall I try for the mercantile work? (A) As given, there should be those requests and notifications in ALL associations and connections; Nashville, Paducah, Hopkinsville, Chicago, Cincinnati, New York, Newark, all over - and there will be OPENED the better associations and connections.

As we find, it would be very well in …! [N.J.]

  1. (Q) With [459]? (A) With [459].

  2. (Q) After I have had the rest? (A) After the rest, to be sure; the body would not be physically fit at present, neither would there be the same relationships that might come later!

  3. (Q) In what way could I arrange my financial status so as to rest? (A) These conditions arrange themselves! Just do the best you can; go on with it!

  4. (Q) Would it be well to try in schools or homes for the sick? (A) As given, in ALL these channels - and the way will open.

  5. (Q) Is there any medicine I should take for my physical condition, or just rest? (A) As we find in the present, the REST would be the better; applying those laws or relationships or conditions KNOWN as best for the body; keeping the eliminations and making for those things that will act as the solvent for those forces within the system, which the body knows should be kept eliminated that there may be the better physical condition.

Take one step at the time - everyone; not worrying about the morrow, when the morrow can’t be lived until today has been lived properly!

  1. We are through for the present.
