This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of January, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [2433], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. David E. Kahn.

1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - we have the body, [2433].

3. Now as we find, there are conditions which prevent the better normal functioning. These - as the basic conditions - have to do with the supply of energies in reestablishing or building in the nervous system.

4. While these in this particular individual are of the acute nature, they arise - here - because of a weakness in the basic forces in the first plasm of energies; or the supply to the life force in its activity in this particular experience or incarnation.

5. But these as we find may be materially aided by a CONSISTENT application of those things as may be suggested here to revitalize those sources from which nerve plasm in the body receives its impulse.

6. This - as we find - is through the glandular system, and its activity upon the nerve plasm itself.

7. There are very good general conditions of the body, in most respects; only those administrations of various natures for the corrective forces have at times upset the flexes and reflexes through the system. Organically, most of the system functions nominally under the stresses that have been produced in the body, mentally and physically.

8. As we find, these would be the manners to bring the better aid to the body:

9. First, begin with small doses of Atomidine to purify the glandular system. This, to be sure, would necessitate leaving off other administrations for the present. The dosage would be two minims (drops) in half a glass of water each morning before any food is taken. Keep this up for at least ten days.

10. Then begin with the use of Gold given to the system vibratorially (leaving off the Atomidine, you see). For this body, we would administer this through a minimum strength B Battery. Prepare or connect with this two wires, one with a metal bar - preferably as a bar - to be held in the hand - and of nickel; the other a copper bar. The nickel bar would be broken so that it would pass through a solution of Chloride of Gold (in the proportions of two grains to each ounce of Distilled Water; and use at least four ounces). This would be prepared in a container, and the connection through same would be of a lead that is tubular, or hollow. Of course, the Gold Solution would be attached to the negative side. This would be used AFTER purifying the system with the Atomidine, you see; beginning with twenty minutes each day and increasing every fifth day to ten minutes more. Keep increasing every fifth day until it is taken for one hour. This may produce some nausea in the beginning, but if this is experienced just remove or lay it aside. Disconnect the container when not in use; keeping the connection in the solution CLEAN, or removing it from the solution when not being used. The Gold Solution would be changed every fifteen days, you see.

11. In the matter of the diet, - keep a very NORMAL diet, but tending more towards fruits and vegetables rather than too much of meats. However, if meats are desired, all forms of fish or shell fish would be well to be included in the diet. All forms of vegetables, especially, that grow under the ground. Not these alone, to be sure, but let the diet tend more in these directions. Not too much sweets, nor too much of any food that causes great acidity for the body.

12. Do these, and we will bring bettered conditions for this body.

14. (Q) What originally produced the condition in the body? (A) It is prenatal, as given; and then the unbalancing of the body in its chemical reaction.

R1. 2/4/41 [2433]‘s letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce

I am writing to make sure I have the proper hook up to apply the Chloride of Gold Solution.

I took it up with Mr. Taylor and he wasn’t sure of it either, so I have drawn a diagram so you can see how we deciphered it.

The thing that puzzles us is the lead that goes from the negative of the battery through the solution. We don’t know if that should be a LEAD pipe, that I mean a composition of LEAD or if you mean a lead wire such as a connection.

Should it be a composition LEAD. I wondering what if any chemical action it would set up in the chloride of Gold Solution.

I also thought you might have meant to put the wire from the negative Battery in the solution and then use a rubber hose going through the solution, then put the wire that goes on the nickel bar to the other end of the hose. However that would be the same as cutting the wire and let the two pieces hang in the solution.

Will appreciate it if you will give me a diagram just how it should be.

R2. 2/6/41 EC’s letter to [2433]:

Dear Mr. [2433]

Have yours of the 4th - you have the idea alright from your drawing. Only the connections through the solution is possibly troubling you. Enclosed find a piece of the lead wire that think you can use. Get a radio connection to fasten each end of the wire to, then the wire bends into the solution as the drawing will try and make, use radio connections into each of these ends to the bottle of solution and will work alright. Have the lead sortered [soldered] to the connection - the hole in the wire allows the charge to build up in the solution thus giving the body the reaction of same.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Just received your letter and was so disappointed your letter was sent to Los Angeles instead of S.F.

Evidently you didn’t know it was returned to you and then forwarded to me because there was no future date set for a reading.

You asked me to ask some questions. Well I don’t know where to start or what to ask only what is wrong with me and how can I be cured.

I have been troubled with this ailment for the last two years and it seems the medical profession has been able to diagnose my case but do not know how to correct it. I am in the Hospital at the present time, have taken all kinds of tests and everything shows 100% perfect, yet they know this condition still exists.

Have also tried chiropractors & osteopaths without any result.

Mr. Kahn told me not to mention my ailment, therefore I am withholding it, should you desire it I will be only too happy to inform you.

Please set the earliest date possible for my reading from 10.30 to 11.30 A.M. E.S.T. and I will be at home at … Ave., San Francisco, Calif.

Now the first open period we have of morning is the 24th - 10.30 to 11.30 E.S.T. Will that be convenient for you?

Think, Mr. [2433], were I you would give as complete history of your condition as you know it. Lets be just as honest with the information as you wish it to be with you. I do not know that can help at all - or that any thing will be given you haven’t already known about, but will try it if the day and time suits you, and be sure to give the address you will be for the hour set, and be sure to be there at the time.

SAINT FRANCIS HOSPITAL BUSH AND HYDE STREETS SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA A Non-Profit Association

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Just received your letter of Jan 14th and will be waiting patiently for your reading in the morning of Jan 24th. I will be at my home, … Ave., San Francisco Calif.

As to the description of my condition, about 2 years ago a pain developed in my neck similar to a stiff neck, which has been diagnosed as Torticollis which is a spasm of the muscles & glands & nerves, seemingly caused by the nerves.

I have gone to nerve specialist; chiropractors and osteopaths but so far have not been cured, have been in the Hospital for 3 weeks and while laying quiet it seems to be better but when I get up the neck pulls to the right causing the nerves and muscles to twist, which causes a severe pain on the left side of my neck.

This is about as complete a description as I can give.

Trusting the good Lord will give you the power to analyze my ailment.
