This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of November, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [2526], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

At home, Time of Reading 4 mi. W. of …, 3:50 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Tenn., on old high- way 13, 1 mi. from new highway 48, in …, Montgomery Co. District 13.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2526] this we have had before.

3. As we find, conditions have been much more improved than they manifest in the physical body in the present.

4. Owing to the presence of cold and congestion, the affected area from the consumptive forces - the flow of lymph through the superficial circulation - causes a great deal of stiffness in the extremities, especially as indicated in the arms. These as we find need the greater elimination.

5. While there are improvements in the general condition, the cold and congestion make for periods when there is not so good use of arms and limbs as there has been.

6. These we would do in the present:

First, we would use a saline laxative to make for better alkalization of the whole system, and to increase circulation in such a manner as to eliminate much of the poisons from the system, especially in the alimentary canal. Take a heaping teaspoonful of Sal Hepatica in half a glass of water, dissolved and then filling the glass - using a large glass, tea glass or the like. Do this each morning for three to five days - each morning before breakfast, see? Using a large glass and putting the dose in the glass half full of water at first will keep the properties from overflowing, when the solution effervesces. Leave off this after the third or fifth day, provided there have been good eliminations and the cold has been allayed, also the stiffness overcome. But continue to keep an alkalized condition for the body, and to keep up good eliminations.

8. Be closely mindful of the diet; for the cold that has been contracted is from indiscretion in eating - as well as draft.

9. Very soon, now, we would recharge the Appliance. Check very closely the amount of each ingredient that goes to make up the solution. In this next charge, we would use THESE amounts - to give a stronger charge of the low electrical forces:

10. To 1 1/2 gallons of Distilled or Rain Water, add - in the order named:

Copper Sulphate…2 pounds, Sulphuric Acid C.P…1 1/2 ounces, Zinc…5 drams, Willow Charcoal…1/2 pound.

11. Change the Gold Solution, of course. This, however, is to be renewed in the same proportions, - one grain to each ounce of Distilled Water. Have a fresh supply of this.

12. Then we would also prepare a solution of commercial strength Spirits of Camphor to be used on alternate days. The Gold would be used one day, the Camphor the next. Make the connections with the Gold in the same manner as formerly indicated. Each day the Appliance would be used for thirty minutes, one day with the Gold, the next day with the Camphor - though the same connections may be used to apply to the body.

13. When using the Camphor, - the small or copper plate would be attached to the 2nd dorsal center, while the large nickel plate - through which the Camphor solution passes vibratorially - would be attached over the lacteal duct and umbilical center - the same as for the Gold.

14. Be sure the connections to the body are firm but not too binding nor too tight. Let the suction of the connection be very secure or flat against body. Be sure that the anodes or plates are polished very clean before each application is made, and use sandpaper or emery cloth to clean same.

15. Keep up the body massages.

16. If there is continued stiffness or soreness in either the upper or lower limbs, wrap same for an hour - at least three times a week - with a flannel saturated in hot Castor Oil, applying heat to keep same warm during that hour. When removed, sponge the area with a weak soda water.

17. Do these, and we will keep the body on the improve; we will prevent further activities and better the conditions for this body.

18. Ready for questions.

19. (Q) Should I stay on the same diet? (A) You have been off of it some! Better stay closer to it!

20. (Q) Should all treatments be continued in same manner? (A) These are being altered here, and hence there are changes.

Be sure there is a checking thoroughly in making the charge for the Appliance. Keep the anodes clean, and do not have connected to the Appliance when not in use.

R1. 11/17/41 Letter from [2526] to EC: “I am awful sorry I have been so long writing, but I have had company for the last 2 wks. and seem like it was almost impossible to write a letter. I was certainly pleased with my rdg. My cold is almost gone and I am feeling much better. They only wanted me to come to the hospital just to see how I was getting along, last winter. Last Nov. it was. My face was bad. The skin so thick and my cold so bad so the Dr. there say it is just slightly in my face now. They said my treatments sound good and for me to keep them up. Which I intended to do. Please do not think for one moment that I would quit your suggestions for any other, because I know I am getting better and I am going to do just what you tell me.

“I am sorry that I did get off of my diet just a little, but I am not going to any more. So please do not think that I had one thought of not continuing your suggestion. The Dr.’s in the hospital are studying Scleroderma and they wanted to see the difference in me now and last winter. And I am thankful they found me better instead of being worse, like they thought Mrs. [2514] is also improving. We are both very happy to have hopes of getting well again. So when I have used this rdg. as long as you want me to, I’ll be ready for another rdg. anytime you think best. So I thank you very much.”

R2. 1/1/41 Letter from [2526]: “Hoping you and yours have had a merry Christmas and will have a happy and prosperous New Year.

“As for myself, I was blessed in having both my children at home, and we had the pleasure having family prayer Christmas Eve Night all together.

“I am feeling better, except I swell a lot and my hands are awful stiff. At times they are much worse than others. My face swells too. Anytime you think best to give me a check will be all right with me. Of course I want to work as fast as I can to get well. So hoping to hear from you soon.”

R3. 1/8/42 “Also my right arm is often stiff. I am anxious to know what is the cause of the swelling.”

R4. 1/14/42 “I am keeping books for my sister-in-law’s grocery store now. I am a lot better satisfied working than staying at home, and I am keeping up my treatments just the same. My arms have been too tight and seem like they would draw to my neck, and up in my neck has hurt me a lot lately. We have been having zero weather - I thought that might be the cause. And I still swell a lot. Anything you want me to do, please let me know.”
