-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2567].
-
As we find, while conditions are rather serious, and in the present not a great deal of activity is possible, - with the care and the corrective applications for helpful influences to meet the depleted energies in the body, we may bring a much better condition for this body.
-
These are the conditions as we find with this body, [2567] we are speaking of:
-
For some time there has been an unbalancing of the chemical forces of the body, owing to the glandular disturbance.
-
With the strains of a mental nature, there has been brought about a deflection of energies so that the conditions in the structural portions are lacking in sufficient energies for their activity.
-
Hence the inability for the locomotion, the weakness that exists throughout, and the lack of the proper assimilation of foods in the body.
-
These are the conditions as we find them with this body.
-
This, of course, has depleted the blood supply. With the nerve forces being depleted, it has made for slow mental reactions to the physical forces; as the body becomes easily tired, and there is the suffering in the locomotory centers - as in the hips, the knees, the arms - all of these. It is not of an arthritic nature but rather a laxness of nerves in the body - though is of the acute nature.
-
In making administrations, then:
-
Keep the body quiet.
-
Keep whatever foods that are high in the vitamin forces, or blood and nerve and body building; that carry excesses of Vitamins A, D, B-1 and G - all of these; as the juices of liver, tripe, pig feet (if these are prepared properly), raw carrot juice, all forms of such natures.
-
And especially give beef juice, often, in minute quantities.
-
Each morning when there is the sponge bath, let this be rather warm, and follow same with a thorough rub with Peanut Oil - all the body will absorb; especially over the abdomen and small of the back, and over the joints.
-
Sponge off afterward and apply a little little rub alcohol. This will rest the body, and also be stimulating.
-
Also prepare the B Battery, this low form, to carry the Chloride of Gold as a vibratory force for the body; that is, on the positive side have a connection that passes through a Gold Solution (in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water - but use at least three to four ounces of the solution), with a nickel plate to be attached to the body. On the minus side have a connection with a copper plate to be attached to the body. These may be connected to the wrist and ankle, on opposite sides of the body, or to the knee and the elbow at times (the opposite sides of the body), which are those areas where the pulsation is closer to the surface - so that the vibratory force of the properties themselves may be carried into the system. Make the attachments each day, preferably of evening, for at least thirty minutes. Change or renew the Gold Solution every fifteen days.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is a gland affected in the stomach? (A) The glandular system throughout is affected.
-
(Q) What can be done for hip joints in order to get use of the spine? (A) As indicated, massage over same the Peanut Oil; and supply those energies needed through the diet and the Gold vibratorially.
Do these things.
- (Q) What is cause of knees aching so badly and what can be done to ease this condition? (A) Do as has been indicated. All of these conditions are covered in that indicated.
These as we find offer the better opportunities for the body, and will bring results if they are consistently applied.
- We are through for the present.

(See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Beef Juice.
The B Battery may be secured from a garage or hardware store. Perhaps [2784] could prepare those connections, or have it done. Or, if you prefer, you can buy one that is prepared nicely - that is, in appearance, on the order of a radio, from: Photobell Corp., Atten. Mr. A. Edelman, 116 Nassau St., New York City.
However, if you do this, you will have to specify that they make the particular attachments as indicated. For this Appliance is ordinarily made plain, without any attachment passing through medicinal properties.
P.S. If you could get Edgar Evans Cayce one evening, he could probably prepare the B Battery for you - provided you had the materials ready for him to work with. GD.)
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 8/7/41 Mrs. [808]‘s letter to EC: “Just have a minute but wanted to write and thank you for the wonderful Rdg. you gave my stepmother. We took it out there last night and read it to her and she said it described her condition perfectly, and she had more hope about getting well than she has at any time. I talked with her again this morning trying to get the Supervisor of the Sanitarium and she told me she is so worried that they won’t carry it out at the Sanitarium and she knows if everything you prescribed for her is done, that she will get well. I told her not to worry about that because everything you ordered for her we can do ourselves. If we get the battery made we can put it in her closet and someone can attach it to her - One of us visits her every night. Then the beef juice and liver can be taken out to her and she can take it herself every day, and the peanut oil rub will be a cinch. However, she gave the reading to the doctor and supervisor of the Sanitarium and they went out discussing it. I left word for the supervisor to call me as soon as she finished with the doctor. She has heard about you through me, but then the doctor [2567] has is a new one. My doctor isn’t there any more - He has gone in private practice.”
R2. 8/13/41 Mrs. [808]‘s letter to EC: “If you could see [2567] and her reaction to the Rdg. and the faith she has in you, I think that would help repay you for all you have done. She has been so despondent and in such a great deal of pain, and since she had the Rdg. her mental attitude toward her recovery has improved 50% and she feels definitely sure that just as soon as she gets the battery and gets everything started she will gradually start getting well. I was really amazed the way they took this thing out to the Sanitarium. They said they would cooperate with me and do the things that they could do. The doctor ordered the peanut oil and they give her the rub and also give her the carrot juice. We have to take the beef juice to her and give her the Valentine liver extract. The people at the Sanitarium are Seventh Day Adventists and don’t believe in meat, so - of course - we see to it that she gets those things. The doctor at the Sanitarium has her Rdg. and he has been grand about it. He tells her that she will feel better after a week of this treatment and keeps her boosted up about it, for which we are so grateful.”
R3. 8/22/41 Mrs. [808]‘s letter to EC: “Last night when [2784] and her brother hooked the battery up to [2567], she said it burned her wrist and they had to take it off. They put a little piece of tissue paper on her wrist first before attaching it to her again, and she said it was alright then. However, I told [2784] that I thought it would be very important that it be right next to her body without the tissue in between. Anyway, if it is supposed to give that burning sensation, I’m sure she would stand it, but she thought she was getting a dreadful burn ([2784] said it left a mark on her wrist) and she was afraid of it. Maybe after it is used a few times it won’t do that.”
R4. 9/8/41 “Thanks a lot for writing [2784]‘s stepmother. Apparently the battery is too strong or perhaps we don’t hook it up right, but she got an awful burn from it and it scared her so she discontinued using it. This all happened while we were away. Her mother and family took her home from the hospital and called in another doctor, so outside of them still using the peanut oil massage, everything has been discontinued. We were terribly disappointed and hesitated about going away because of this, but found her in a much better condition Sunday than at any time, so hope that she will get well. Would like to find out what is wrong with the battery, however, in case she decides to go back to following the Rdg. [2784] said yesterday that when one is as sick as [2567], you just get desperate, and I know that is true. So, we only hope the right thing is being done for her and that she will get well.”
R5. 9/23/41 Letter: I told you that they had gotten another doctor for [2567], didn’t I? Well, he had X-rays taken and told her mother that she had four or five cancers and that there was absolutely nothing that they could do for her except to give her dope pills to relieve her. Of course, not many in the family know that because they are so afraid that [2567] will find it out and she would just go crazy if she knew it. We were sick about it as we were so hopeful all along that she was going to get well - I presume you knew it. You can sort of read in between the lines of those readings, whereas the average person wouldn’t be able to interpret it correctly. Anyway, I do believe if the reading had been followed she would have been given relief and probably wouldn’t be suffering as she is. It is just unfortunate about the battery, but if it gets fixed, we can still use it on her and I am sure it will help her a lot.
R6. 10/5/41 See 2567-2 in re reason for B Battery burning her arm; also advising that now she use instead the ultra-violet with green glass, over the area from the lower lungs to the hips, to reduce pain through affected internal areas.
Background
Background
B1. 7/24/41 Extract from step-son’s wife, Mrs. [808]‘s letter:
“[2784]‘s stepmother has been bedridden with arthritis (at least that is what the doctors say it is) for a period of 5 to 6 weeks. She is suffering quite a bit and we feel so sorry for her. You know [2784] lost his father several years ago and she has been making her living by renting out rooms. Now she is just helpless and not only that but is suffering terrific pain. We have offered to have Rdg. for her and told her all about it, but she hasn’t seemed to want it. She has had 5 or 6 doctors and not any of them have done her a bit of good and I really don’t see what she has to lose, but this last doctor has given her some hope and if she feels that he will help her I want her to give it a try.”
B2. 7/30/41 “We were in to see [2567] [[2784]‘s stepmother] last night and have to put her in the hospital this morning. She is critically ill and I think the doctors really don’t know what is wrong with her. We are taking her to the Washington Sanitarium and Hospital and she really thinks that they will be able to cure her. We have talked to her again about having a Rdg. but she won’t agree to doing that. Naturally she has no faith in it since she knows nothing about it except what I tell her, and then I think she is too ill to understand about it. So, I talked to her mother last night (she is almost 80 and just worried sick about [2567]) and she told me to go ahead and do anything that I think will help [2567]. That’s all I needed.”
