This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of January, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [261], Active Member in the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through phone request by his wife.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Hannah and Noah Miller.]
Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Sarasota, Fla. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
-
As we find in the present, there are rather the acute conditions arising from the effect of the attempts of the blood supply, under a strain, to meet or to produce sufficient of the warriors within the blood stream to MEET the emergencies produced by infectious forces (or their equivalents) in the blood stream.
-
Owing to the depleted condition of the body this HAS produced in these directions, a temperature; that becomes at times such as to produce, through the very nature of the effect this produces upon the organs of the system, alarming FEELINGS.
-
But if there is given the proper time and the proper food value, that may be absorbed easily or quickly by the system, we would find these would in forty-eight hours or such a matter pass off.
-
And then with eliminations kept open, there would be the increase in this condition in the blood supply to meet the emergencies and to eradicate the congestion.
-
In not too great a quantity, then, but rather often, we would supply to the body a clear celery soup and tomato juices; these preferably (the tomato juices) should be from those that have RIPENED thoroughly - or canned would be preferable to those that have not ripened thoroughly on the vines.
-
Citrus fruit juices may be alternated with these, though not too much. These may be alternated, just sipped - every thirty or forty minutes.
-
Give enemas sufficient to keep eliminations through the alimentary canal.
-
Keep the body quiet.
-
Massage the feet and limbs, and especially across the lower lumbar area, with any hot applications; preferably a combination of equal portions Mutton Suet, Spirits of Camphor, Spirits of Turpentine, Compound Tincture of Benzoin. Massage just what the body absorbs, not so as to produce excesses. Rub same on the bottom of the feet, and then keep the feet very warm. This, with these properties, will tend to make for the creating in the system of the correct activities in the blood stream (through the diet indicated) to overcome these conditions.
-
Beef juices, beef broth maybe taken; or at times a little potato soup - this should be almost clear. No particles of grease, other than butter in same.
-
Do these and, as we find, in a course of three days the body should be able to resume its normal activities.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Have the injections for cold that I have taken been helpful or harmful? (A) Depends on what we do ABOUT same, with those conditions as just indicated! If they are allowed to run their course, we may have INFECTIOUS forces! If there is SUPPLIED that necessary to work WITH those injections, then we may make them beneficial!
-
(Q) Do you note anything in roof of mouth and around tongue? (A) Only the fullness as produced by excess of the lymph circulation, and accumulations in the area. The hot applications to the feet and to the lumbar and sacral area will pull the blood away from these.
And the enemas to make for the assimilations to become eliminations for the necessary forces of the body.
- We are through with this reading.
