This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of Mrs. Robert R. M. Emmet, 1 Grace Church St., Rye, New York, this 25th day of November, 1941, in accordance with request made by the wife - Mrs. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment Inc., recommended by Messrs. [1565] & [257].

Time of Reading 3:00 to 3:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, New York.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body, answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2621].

3. As we find, conditions are very serious with this body.

4. This as we find, though, need not necessarily be fatal, if there are measures taken to meet and overcome the conditions that as we find exist.

5. These are the disturbances that we find with this body:

6. Owing to a glandular disturbance that arose from an unbalanced chemical reaction in the body, this is pernicious anemia or Hodgkin’s disease; thus not leukemia as yet, though the weakness of the body, the weakness of the nerve cells is gradually reducing the resistance and vitality in the body.

7. These as we find may be aided and helped. This will require persistence, consistency on the part of those who would make application of those things suggested. Not that the body may be aided by dosages or chemicals, but some - or the right influences - are needed.

8. Necessarily, for a time, there should be continued the sedatives to induce sleep. But with the application of those things as we would suggest here, we find that there will gradually be overcome the sweats, the nausea, the hot and cold sensations that are experienced from the weakened circulation, the inability of the body to be still, save when there is the influence of an opiate or a sedative.

9. First, then, in making the applications:

10. Begin with one drop of Atomidine in half a glass of water before the meal is taken of morning. Do not take more than this the first day. The second day take two drops, not more than that. The third day take three drops. The fourth day take four drops. The fifth day take five drops.

11. Then leave it off for one day. Then begin again with one drop, and continue in the same manner, - repeating the series in this manner until there are definite changes.

12. Start giving all the liver extract or liver juice that the body can assimilate, not to make it obnoxious to the body. It may be made into liver pudding, or just the juices of liver prepared.

13. Also give a teaspoonful of beef juice at least every two hours; not broth or the like, but pure beef juice. This should be sipped, not taken as a gulp. It may be eaten with a little whole wheat cracker if desired.

14. Each day give the ultra-violet ray treatment, using only the mercury quartz light, and the green glass used between the body and the light. This may be given at home. The ultra-violet light should be at least forty inches (40”) from the body, this preferably over the back, so as to reach the whole of the body. Do this, for the effect produced in the aching of the bones, the pains in joints and limbs, comes from the inability of the portions to supply energies that will rebuild the red blood cells, that are fast disappearing. So the juices of the beef, the liver, all of the foods should be supplied as much as possible that carry blood building properties. And with the taking of the Atomidine the glandular system should be cleared so that the abilities of assimilation will be set up.

15. The light should be given for at least five minutes. Do not be closer than forty inches with the mercury light. Do not give same without the green light between the body and the ultra-violet, for the ultra-violet would be too severe. With the green glass used, it gives health, life giving forces. The green glass should be at least twelve inches (12”) from the body, sufficient so that the radial activity of the ultra-violet spreads over most of the body. Change from the upper portion to the central, to the lower portion, during the five minute period, divided in about a minute and fifteen seconds for each portion. The green glass should be twelve inches from the body, if it is sufficiently large to make such radiations, see?

16. Massage the body thoroughly, twice each day, with Peanut Oil; not only over the spine but the whole of the body, so that this is absorbed. If this causes an irritation, or dries too quickly, use more of same - all the body will absorb. This will aid the superficial circulation to absorb those influences necessary to aid in blood building.

17. There MUST be blood built, else the leukemia - or the excess of the white blood will destroy ALL of the red blood cellular forces.

18. Do these and we will bring better forces for this body, [2621].

19. In ten days we will give further instructions. Do these consistently for ten days, then we will give other directions.

20. Keep the mental attitude creative.

21. Ready for questions.

22. (Q) What causes burning in different spots on flesh, but no marks? (A) The body is CONSUMING the energies that are lacking in production by the assimilating forces of the body.

23. (Q) The itching? (A) The same as just indicated.

Do these things that have been indicated. In ten days we will give further instructions.

R1. 12/5/41 [2621]‘s letter to EC: “Received your letter, and I appreciate your kindness. I have been doing everything you told me in your Reading. I am slowly getting better, and I pray to God that in your next Reading there will be some improvement. I could not buy the Mercury Quartz Light, so I am going to the Reilly Service for the treatments. Since I have been getting these treatments, I have been experiencing a peculiar shocking sensation throughout my body. Mainly in the muscles of the arms and legs. It seems as though every time I straighten out either arm or leg I get the shocks. I have developed a cough in the last few days, which I had four weeks ago. I have been going to a clinic for examination, before your Readings. Do you think it is advisable to go back for a re-examination, to see if I have any growing glands. I have stopped in the middle of a therapy treatment. I will be waiting anxiously for your Reading at … L.I., N.Y., on December 8 at 3:30.” Very Sincerely, [2621]
