This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 9th day of April, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [264], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [264], present in this room, who seeks advice and counsel as to her physical, mental and spiritual affairs. You will answer the questions which she has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [264]. Though we have had it under other names before, this would be the better to maintain. [GC gave her maiden name initial rather than middle given name as previously.]

3. In those conditions physical, mental and spiritual, many conditions that are being set in such a manner as to make for betterments in the attitude, and in the relationships to the various forces and elements that have hindered in the adjustment of self as a whole, mentally, materially, physically.

4. (Q) PHYSICAL: Should any change be made in treatments? (A) In the present, as there are betterments coming in every way and manner, as we find, these should be kept very much in the same manner as they are being applied in the present.

There will be periods when there will be the resorting to many of those suggestions that have been altered or changed somewhat, yet these will only be through emergency conditions that arise. This should not create any attitude of fear or anxiety, but as conditions adjust themselves for the better physical forces these will be necessary in their proper period and time.

5. (Q) Is magnetic treatment being given correctly, or would it benefit me to have it for a longer period? (A) These treatments are very good in the present. While there should not be those periods when there is the exhaustion of self or of ones applying same, well that there be sufficient that there are those reactions which are to come from such application.

6. (Q) What is condition and position of growth, and how long before it will be entirely eliminated? (A) As indicated from those conditions that have arisen from time to time, while there has not been an entire eradication of the cause nor of the filling again and again of the body of the growth itself, this has time and again emptied itself to that state where the activities of the circulation have lessened and lessened the center from which the growth receives its filling of the fluids of system. And the position in the present has gradually lowered itself from the normal positions.

While it would not be well during elimination periods to make for such a probe or such an activity as to injure, bruise or produce infectious forces, a pressure exerted at such periods with dilations will aid in more and more eliminating those centers that HOLD the tubes that form the basis for the growth’s activity. As there is continued the circulation, and kept the normal strength and vitality, these will gradually reduce the condition until whole elimination will be complete.

As to the periods, this will depend upon the attitude, the treatment, and the general conditions that arise - see?

7. (Q) Is speculum and probe that is being used alright? (A) Alright.

8. (Q) Should the battery be continued? (A) It should. As should the ash at periods.

9. (Q) Am I going through a change called menopause? (A) Not as yet.

10. (Q) Where and from whom can I get more wine to use as a stimulant? (A) There will soon be those channels opened from and through whom ANY quantity may be obtained; and this will aid in making for stimulations to the general attitude of the body.

11. (Q) What kind will be best for this body? (A) That which has for a long period borne a name that is generally known in this surrounding as the Virginia dare, of that vintage or brewage that makes for a stimulation in circulation - and an enlivening particularly of those portions of the system that need such activity.

12. (Q) MENTAL: Will I be physically able to manage Mr. [5541]‘s Health Club this spring, or should I begin giving counsel to individuals? (A) Better to begin that preparation for self in the counsel and in the aid of study along those analytical lines, that gradually open for the abilities for the body to be of such aid to others seeking.

13. (Q) Where and from whom could I get best information to aid in this? (A) Along those general lines the body has been studying the more recently, added with those of psychology and the texts on same.

Let the preparation be within self, and then begin to apply it - see?

14. (Q) Can I sell tracts of timber in Bladen County, N.C., near White Lake, through Geo. L. Hume of Norfolk, Va.? [See 853-2, Par. 11-A, 12-A on 6/16/32. Also 853-3 on 9/1/32.] (A) As we find, a there may be through this channel a sale made.

15. (Q) Could this timber be sold to Henry Ford or to Mr. [5541], or to whom? (A) As we find, this suits more in those of a box and of a factory or outlet that has a broader or wider scope of activity than either of these mentioned. As seen with either those connections in Baltimore, Washington or Louisville.

16. (Q) Please give name and address in Washington and Louisville. (A) The government’s very good in Washington! and they need it very badly! In Louisville, go through the same channel - or through those that have been given, the address which you already have.

17. (Q) What channel of the government should they go through? (A) Quartermaster division. [See 257-115, Par. 8-A on 8/3/33.]

18. (Q) To whom can I sell house and lot on which I have borrowed $500 and at what price? (A) Very poor time or period to sell any property of this character or nature; though, as we find, there are some channels that - by the first or middle of June - may be opened for such. These would be in association or connection with individuals who will be, in that period, located as from government people in that particular vicinity.

19. (Q) To whom can I sell our vacant lot in …, N.C. and at what price? (A) Not in the immediate future. A little later this may be accomplished through any regular channel of real estate activities, or direct to some of those who may be associated with those new channels that will open there. See, there should be a camp - or a portion of those from the reconstruction, and from the re-foresting conditions that will open a channel about this district.

20. (Q) To whom can I sell billion feet tract of timber on Harrison Lake in British Columbia, Canada? (A) This, as we find, may be best consummated through some of the larger paper concerns; as of the British Paper Company in Toronto, or of such kindred organizations.

21. (Q) To whom could I sell rock or stone ledge between Spring Hope and Zebulon, N.C.? (A) We don’t get the association or connection here.

22. (Q) Where and to whom could I market stories written by my husband [853]? (A) These, as we find, may be marketed through either those of syndicates or to those of the varied character magazines that carry articles in this particular field. Because these are returned from one or the other, do not stop. Select a list and keep on sending through these various channels! Any of ‘em!

23. (Q) What magazine would probably buy them? (A) PROBABLY any magazine! but send them to everyone of them, one at a time!

24. (Q) How long before I will be physically able to begin my lift work of analyzing problems for individuals? (A) Should begin now! but when the general physical condition is such as to overcome, this depends upon self and upon the applications of those things that have been suggested!

For, as self begins to prepare self for analyzing or aiding another, as we have given from the beginning, HEALING comes for self mentally and physically - and growth spiritually.

R1. 4/22/33 She wrote expressing how much her Life Rdg. [264-31] and 264-32 had meant to her, adding:

“My physical condition is improving rapidly, and I am really getting well, and keeping hold on myself, which is keeping me in the consciousness of my oneness with the great Giver of life and health.”

R2. 5/13/33 She wrote: “I am improving daily. Dr. Brenner really seems so encouraged and so happy over my condition, and my improvement means more to me than it is possible to express in words. It is just a feeling of happiness and thankfulness down in my soul that really can’t be expressed.

“The timber deals are helping to get my mind off of myself. I’ll be thankful to conclude them, as it will mean so much to us all.”

R3. 6/8/33 She wrote: “Dr. Brenner says I will not be strong enough to go to the Congress on the 16th, as I have eliminated so much during the past week. I am weak now, but I am not counting on being weak forever, as I am getting well. And Dr. Brenner feels that in my present physical condition I should get a reading…

“Have succeeded in getting the Gov. interested in the N.C. timber, and I am so thrilled. Have been writing letters and working on both tracts nearly every day since my last rdg.”

R6. 3/27/50 She replied to Questionnaire:

“Have taken 1 to 2 ounces of red wine with whole wheat wafers, or 1 slice of whole wheat bread, to build red cells. This was taken about 4 p.m. (Virginia Dare Red Wine - Garrett’s) Blood count proved this to have been beneficial.

“The above taken for a few weeks brought about an improvement in blood count, as well as in my digestion!

“Treatment was used according to 264-32, Par. 11-A, 12-A and 821-1 on 2/9/35.”
