This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of August, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [264], Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [264], Annie Cayce and Sarah C. Hesson.]

Time of Reading Avamere, 12:05 to 12:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Va. Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [264]; this we have had before.

  2. As we find, there are many changes since last we had same. Some improvements are indicated. While there is much to be desired, if those suggestions that have been given - from time to time - would be applied, in a practical manner, we would find better results.

  3. Take that which has been given under the varied experiences through the applications of the suggestions given, under different periods, and classify same - as ye have studies for others. Then apply them as ye have sought others to apply that ye imparted to them.

  4. This becomes then a practical, WORKABLE thing. Varied experiences, varied applications have been implied. These have come under different circumstances. Who knows better than thyself how ye feel and when ye feel that way? Each instance, experience, HAS been touched upon! Have ye not learned a lesson yet?

  5. Ready for questions.

  6. (Q) What caused recent relapse? (A) Mental and physical reactions to some disturbing forces mentally, disturbing forces physically. The physical reaction was from the combination of each and the lack of resistance in the body.

  7. (Q) How may another such relapse be prevented? (A) By applying those varied influences that have been indicated; in that the body should take each case and study same. Each reading, each suggestion has covered an experience of the body, in the varied periods of its experience. Then read them. See where they fit - and ye have the whole story.

  8. (Q) Should I take Ventriculin once or twice each day? (A) So oft it has been given for the body, do not become so dependent upon any application that there is lost sight of the individual and physical activities of the body! If there is the FEELING, in self, that it is necessary to take eleven times a day, take it! If it is necessary to take once a day, take it! If it is necessary to leave it off for a month, leave it off. Make the BODY, MIND, determine this - if it would ever accomplish any experience for itself!

  9. (Q) Which treatment is best to take at the present time? (A) With as many varied as have been given, is it still seeking with what has just been outlined to rely upon other forces and not the God-principle and influence and association in self? These become then as this: Unless there is a growth in understanding, what is being accomplished?

  10. (Q) How may I get more understanding? (A) Look within!

  11. (Q) Is an apartment a drawback to my health? (A) This is again just that as being explained. As has been given, if the body builds in its mental attitudes this or that, ANY condition becomes a burden if the body builds upon it to make for a resentment from within. Learn to apply the experiences ever as constructive forces, if good would be obtained or gained from whatever the circumstance is in the experience of the body. If there is held or builded the attitude that an apartment is that which will close in, that will prevent from the freedom, from the activity, how else can it become? It could not then become anything else but as a din, as a drawback. But make use of each experience that comes as a part of the development. Have ye not learned that it is true when it was given, He hath not willed that any soul should perish, but has prepared -

  12. We are through for the present.
