This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of February, 1938, in accordance with phone request by husband yesterday, Mr. [853], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:40 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes - as we find, the acute disturbances which arise from congestion, cold and the effect of the poisons through the system upon the heart’s activity, are rather severe.

2. There needs to be the administrations for the improvement of the eliminations of poisons through the alimentary canal; yet with such there should be a stimulation to the heart’s activity.

3. Hence:

4. We would use a vegetable compound, preferably; such as Castoria or the compound of the pie plant - that is, Syrup of Rhubarb with Senna.

5. And there should be taken in combination with same, but under the direction of a physician, a heart stimulant. As we find, that in the form of the Strychnine in the present is the better. But this must be administered only by a physician.

6. Keep the body quiet.

7. Bathe the feet and lower limbs often to keep the circulation down.

8. Keep the liquid foods; especially orange juice or grapefruit juice, or a combination of orange and lemon juices.

9. Also we would use the Radio-Active Appliance for keeping a balance; this taken about twenty to thirty minutes twice or three times a day would be most helpful. Only use it for twenty to thirty minutes at a time, else would become antagonistic to the body; but keep the anodes or plates very clean.

Wish you could be here to help us out on the Book of Revelation [[281] series]; it is such slow work - I guess we all must be going through the Wilderness - the light seems so dim. But I’m sure that as we live the life we will gain the understanding.”

R4. 5/15/38 She wrote: “Am still getting stronger. Haven’t been down town yet, not since the 2nd day of last Sept. I lie down about six hrs. per day, two in a.m., two in afternoon and two after supper. At about nine p.m. I go downstairs for a little while before going to bed. My attitude is different. That is what counts.”
